There's a concerningly friendly outdoor cat around our grocery store route. I reckon 'planet of the dead' inspired the casting for 'fifteen million merits'

Just watched 'Planet of the dead', the Dr Who episode with Daniel Kaluuya who played Bing in 'Fifteen million merits.'

I can't help but notice how similar the lead actress in this Dr who episode (Michelle Ryan) is to the lead of that black mirror episode (Jessica Brown Findlay) in these roles.

There's the obvious lips, black hair with a fringe and bright blue eyes but there's more subtle things like their prominent canines, mannerisms and quirks of their accent!

I do wonder, even though Jessica Brown Findlay also has a connection to Dr Who from her role in the Sarah Jane Adventures, if whoever did the casting for 'Fifteen million credits' watched this episode of Dr who and thought yep, I want those two 😂 and maybe because of scheduling or for some other reason then had to find a similar actress for their vision??

Could be a complete coincidence of course, or a subconscious connection they made, but I'd love to know if anyone has any lore!
