#I’ve been thinking about how important these two moments are for carlos, and how much he has longed for this to happen. for years and years, he thought he may never have this, felt like he may never be fully accepted, felt like he wouldn’t be able to share this moment with his parents…but he finally got this moment. the moment where he invites his parents for dinner at his and his boyfriend’s home, to officially introduce his boyfriend to them, and to also officially introduce his boyfriend’s father to his parents. his smile and his joy during these moments speak volumes, watching their interactions and seeing how his parents are already welcoming tk and owen into their family. he’s waited so long for this, carlos deserves this moment so much, and he deserves all the love. The girl is called Winnie (named after Winnie Mandela) and in the show she’s an immigrant from ‘Homeland’ where black ducks are violently oppressed by colonist white geese. When she’s introduced her and her family are refugees trying to find asylum in ‘Great Waterland’, but face opposition from the racist government.
