OKAY LET ME EXPLAIN MYSELF THIS WAS ENTIRELY UNINTENTIONAL. if you follow my other project you know this already, but my current drawing setup makes my hip/knee/leg in general hurt.

i have an ipad and stuff on the way. i'll start posting again once i'm acclimated and not (metaphorically) fighting for my life trying to draw for intervals longer than thirty minutes.

Three Cards and The Future

“What is your intention with this reading?”

“See what lies ahead for me in the near future.”

Upon receiving this answer, Clauneck shuffles the tarot deck and eventually spreads them across the mat.

“Pick three,” they order, “the three which resonate in your mind.”First card. ‘The Deal.’ Second card. ‘Death’s Door.’ Third card. ‘Strength from Within.’ The lamb’s eyes squint at these cards. It remains silent, staring at them. “Thank you,” They stand up, quietly speaking. “I’ve found the answer to the predicament I’ve found myself in.” Clauneck picks up the cards, re-shuffling the deck as Mania walks away.

They know it's best not to pry, but Clauneck can't help but wonder: what did it read, and what was the answer it found?

"i reject you"

while mania can harness the red crown, they reject narinder and the crown by proxy. only once something is done about he who waits will mania be able to accept the red crown and all of its abilities. this is why the crown's eye is closed. think of it as if it's sleeping. a dead crown has no followers, a sleeping crown does not sit upon a brow that accepts it.

mania & speech

mania finds it difficult to talk. literally, they can't raise their voice. due to this they mostly communicate in sign.

sermons are rare. mania was never fond of the idea, and they can't really talk loud enough for a church to hear so they only happen every once in a while. all of their followers know simple signs.

bite on left arm from leshy

scratches on left leg from heket

scar on right leg from kallamar

burn scars from their life before

short hair from execution

no more bell, they're a lot more stealthy and the bell would just give them away

NO MORE SKULL MASK :( their face is more important to the lore now so it just Made Sense to remove it

emphasis that the red on their cloak is blood

cloak is scraggly and torn from battles

the one braid is intentional. their design is intended to be extremely asymmetrical

its personality is very different now, but it shouldn't be too far from its previous iteration that they seem like different characters.

I kinda wish the marriage doctrine was one where you could set them your followers up with other followers. I think it would be more fun to have followers ask you to officiate their marriage instead of having them marry you. I get that’s a cult but I wanna play matchmaker

woah holy fuck i've been gone for a while

I PROMISE I HAVENT FORGOTTEN ABOUT YALL !!! other projects have taken priority over this and now i think im ready to return to mania and their story.

its going through a complete overhaul, i realized i wasnt entirely happy with the storyline i had in mind so im fixing that now!

mania will be getting a redesign here pretty soon :3 i hope the sudden influx of content will make up for my absence
