Absolutely jam my askbox full of things, I have so much Hector muse for the first time in awhile and I need to be silly.
clawing at the ground like a feral animal because I want to write for Chantelle so badly.
“ This is not so horrid. The small space, occasional drip of water, soft flames from the lanterns…aside from the mortal needs, I would say this reminds me of Barovia. “
How homely.
The large Nosferatu spawn hummed as she began to tinker with the lock with the sharp digit of her black gauntlet, her head turning slightly just to make eye contact with the guard watching over the forge master — and with a simple smile that betrayed benevolence, the guard gulped and averted his gaze, pretending to not notice the knight breaking into the cell. She did not possess the same powers the rest of the sisters did due to her lesser status on the vampiric hierarchy, therefore bleeding through the bars in a foggy mist or burst of bats wasn’t probable. What she lacked in stealth she simply made up in sheer brute force, similar to the other grisly warrior on the council.
“ Now then. You are Hector, da? Formerly associated with the great Dracula? Impressive. I wish I had met him myself before…well. The inevitability of our undead kind. “
There was no sarcasm detected — she seemed genuine. Despite her intimidating appearance, Bethanne was surprisingly docile and conversational. Opening the door and locking it behind her, the Vistani then shimmied off her bag and pulled out a long, crimson cloak with her people’s patterns knit into it, draping the fabric around the frail man before offering fresh meat. It looked fatty and thick — more than likely actual livestock rather than human.
“ Eat. You need sustenance to carry your body. This is cow — I hunt for my food rather than accept the dainty fruits and fanciful feasts. Barovia and Vistani taught me how to fend for myself rather than rely on others. “

He had learned to pass the time by escaping into his own mind, he had been hunched over, dirtied silver hair falling loose around his knees as he kept his head ducked low. He barely stirred as he heard the door opening, presuming it to be some sort of guard. That voice sounded nothing like the normal ones who would patrol down here. His head tilted upward, his eyes squinting against the harsh lightning from the hallway. His lips curled into a small grimace. He didn't seem to react much to the cloak being laid upon him, he kept that same cat like glare upon his features, his brow furrowing. Everything came at a price here, he wasn't an idiot. He ducked his head back down into his arms with a hearty sigh that shook his now frail body. "You lot deserve death, since it's all you seem to spread" he scoffed lightly, he felt partially combative that day. "Yes, since you know how much I enjoy running about in fields these days. That food will surely aid with that His gaze was as sharp as his tongue, he offered no more conversation for the taller woman. "What do you want?- "He barked, voice laced with venom and weary eyes filled with fire.
There’s no pause nor hesitation when he snaps back at her — her patient smile remains ever present and permanent in the face of adversary. He’s got to be going through the worst of the worst as of right now — mentally and physically. This was to be expected.
And truthfully, he was correct. The vast majority of the undead did deserve to rot for the atrocities they had committed. It was no surprise she was roped into that category — and unfortunately, despite time and time again showcasing to the publicity that she was not like the population of vampires going about slaughtering for entertainment and clinging onto their power like a golden chalice, nobody ever truly listened or observed enough to care. It was simply human nature to despise what they had always been accustomed to fearing. Especially in places like Wallachia and Barovia.
“ If I told you I wanted you to eat and allow me to tend to your pneumonia, would you claim I am bluffing? Because that’s my raw desire. “
She then offered the meat again, maintaining a healthy distance,
“ Come, sweetheart. I can hear your stomach. You are not the first human I have tended to in poor conditions. I do not originate from here, I do not care for how this council nor my homeland’s council works. I do what I want — and what I want is to treat you like a human being and not a piece of livestock to be branded. “
His gaze remained sharp, he kept himself shielding from the taller woman. "I suggest you leave now before I get some determination back into my veins. "He ducked his head back down, ribs pulsing against his thin skin as a ragged cough shook his body. A bit of blood staining the hands that had shielded his mouth. His breathing grew further labored as he gripped the cloak. "You vampires and your fucking savior complexes. Aid the poor helpless human who cannot protect himself "He hissed under his breath, another cough ravaging his body, a palm was placed to the ground to stabilize himself. "Don't patronize me like a weeping child, my name is Hector. You can address me as such wretch " "I could care less what your desires are. Mine is to die here. Leave me to it "he replied softly, his head lowering once more. He was sure it would be the only relief that he was offered at this point.
Is it still cold in Styria in Spring?
"Yes, the snow usually remains until late April. Even then, our summers are not very warm. I do say I miss the warmer weather, I have never really been accustomed to the cold. Isaac enjoys staying here, however, so here is where I will continue to reside. "
Hello Hector, I am a vampire and I want to pet a cat, but it keeps going into the sun.
He barely looked up from his novel, eyes flicking back down to the words almost immediately. "well, isn't that a shame. Maybe it does not like you. Would not be shocking "he allowed a small smirk to flick across his gaze.
Did Dracula really impale humans on sticks?
"I would assume so, I did not know him at that time. He was never partial to many humans that came knocking at his door. Except for Lisa that is. "
What happened to the vampire queens?
"The wretch otherwise known as Carmilla is dead, Lenore is dead, I do not know where the other two are. But, I pray to the Gods that they are dead as well. May they rot in Hell "he scoffed lightly, his brows furrowed together tightly, he had never cared much for speaking about any of them.
What are the rules for guests at your castle, if you have any?
"The castle is open for all that enter our village, we just act that you act respectfully. We do not take kindly to people who come to harm us or our villagers who have gathered. We simply ask that you act with some decorum "He replied simply, not glancing up from the parchment that he had been scribbling on.
((Um. Hi! Are you still active? I run a blog called @ariaacrossthemultiverse , it's... really just an excuse for how she's able to pop into askblogs and stuff. Anyway, I've been rewatching Castlevania S4 lately and gained a newfound appreciation for the forge boys and was wondering if it's okay if Aria pops in every now and again?))

The Nosferatu beast huffed down at the man, long ears twitching in curiosity — and within seconds, the muscled knight scoops him up with one gauntleted hand, holding him out at arm’s length like a scolded puppy dog.
“ You are very light. “
A sharp grin. There’s no ridicule found — she’s simply barbaric in nature and likes toying with the humans rather than torturing like livestock.
A hefty gasp left his lips, the younger man barely had time to glance upward to acknowledge the stranger when he felt himself lifted off the ground. His senses kicked into overdrive, a hand quickly extended. He was gone in a puff of blue mist. Standing a few feet over, eyes wide and fearful. A hand went to his hip, clutching the dagger that lie there as he stared into the others gaze. "What business do you have here?- Speak! "he commanded, his voice growing deeper than it had been seconds before, the tremble in his hand as it clutched the weapon was still rather noticeable. He thought he had been done with the Vampires long ago.
Maya stared at Hector ' I also burnt Lisa's portrait @askisaacforgemaster knows '
A wicked smile came onto his lips as he tilted his head to the side gently to observe the woman. Circling her much like a predator would its prey. "Well, you seem to be a fan of arson hm?- "he leaned down to be at the woman's level, the smile growing a bit calmer. "seems like a fitting punishment for someone such as yourself doesn't it now?- "
' Hello Hector I'm Maya, the wife of the guy who burned Lisa alive don't tell Dracula '
His eyes narrowed and he tilted his head to better examine the woman, he turned back to his desk with a small 'tsk' "How does it feel to know that you married a horrid man?- How does it feel to know you were an aid to the death of an innocent women. I can assure you that you clinging to your false God will offer you now respite in the afterlife " He still refused to look up keeping his eyes narrowed "Now get out of my study before I have the guards escort you out, I will give explicit instructions for them to not be gentle "
But Hector, if you bring back a deceased pet for me with forge magic, will it be the same pet, or will it be a different soul? How can I be sure?
He offered a gentle smile to the other person, folding his arms and leaning back into his desk chair. "You will know, the process is a bit different for animals than it is for humans, since I am merely restoring their body not transforming it. I assure you it is going to be your same friend "
(Continuing the witch asking for help ask)
“Im not surprised that you are concerned about me, those who are magically inclined are very dangerous. But worry not I have come prepared.”
*the witch presents a rough drawing that appears to be a map of the area written in red, obviously enchanted*
“This map is something you may used to track my location, I wrote it in my blood so it’s focused on me. So it would be very difficult for me to sneak up on you with that.
you don’t have to house me in the castle either, just allow me to settle close enough within your territory that your or your other half’s creations may prevent any wayward hunters from attacking me. Plus just your presence here scares away most anyone or anything.”
“You came pre—-pared ?”
He looks this stern and infuriated at the witch’s presentation.Isaac listens and still stares intently. He is thinking about this in silence. Of course he was almost seeing too much red.
Map was created with the blood of the witch. @forgemastery may know some blood magic. From being here in Styria longer than him.
“You even have Hunters onto your tracks coming here? Why?! What have you done to be tracked? You may stay in the land outside of the Castle. Though, if we so much as lose any structures or numbers of our creatures. You should pass over the Mountains. If you can handle a place to stay, then you have a home here. I will not tolerate anything done to us or our hordes. No sacrifices out of them. No curses, hexes, spells on Hector or Myself. I will know what’s right and wrong for ourselves…”
The other forgemaster observed the situation with great concern, his hands clasped behind his back as he stepped forward a few paces "We do not wish for you to be in danger, but we do not want our people in danger. If you are going to reside here you must cause no trouble " He stepped to the other side of the woman leaning down to look across the map with a squinted gaze. "As Isaac has said, our horde is not for your use, the moment I find out you have tampered with anything in the city I will personally turn you over. "He straightened before resuming his position beside Isaac. "You are not to enter the castle either, that is only for our trusted citizens "he kept that stony look upon his features, eyes still examining every surface that he could of the other woman. "I can almost certainly guarantee I know more than you do, so please keep that in mind if you wish to try anything"
