On The Topicality of Confidence

Hello tumblr,

Long time no see.

I don't remember the last time I wrote a blog post but I feel like now is a relevant/random time to write about random things like I used to so often back in the day.

Confidence is such a fleeting object ... you're either full of it or void of it. It wasn't so long ago when I remember the times where I was oozing of confidence from every pore in my body and it's no coincidence that was one of the last times I could truly remember myself being happy ... and I've failed to reverse the effects of an unfortunate tailspin that lodged itself in my arteries for almost two years. As you know though, nothing is inevitable. People change. Things change. I've done so many different things I never expected myself to and it's all these new experiences that made me recently realize that I've ascended to a new dimension. I see things differently now - I understand things. Before I was young and ignorant. I still am. But the process is getting easier and the bleeding is getting weaker.

I feel like confidence is such an underrated aspect of life. It's one of the greatest feelings when you feel like you're basically superman - a God amongst humans - a king among men - and even when you fly down from your pedestal you're still able to feel the confidence reverberate through your body. When you can carry that on and apply it to every aspect of your life everything gets so much better. No more sulking, no crying, no whining - wishing - and waiting. Spontaneity. Getting out there. Opportunities. Experiences.

My writing has gotten shitty and who edits tumblr posts but I just hope that if you're reading this and feeling down on yourself, realize that your brain is the most powerful weapon that you have. Learn how to control it, and you'll be able to direct your life into an award winning movie.

A rough edit of this remix has been kicking around online since last summer - but we finally have been treated to a proper edit and it was well worth the wait. Myon & Shane are incredible at what they do, and their remix of Lana’s larger than life ‘Young & Beautiful’ is the best I’ve heard. Period.
