Adilyn nodded a little understanding completely. The whole being a faerie thing didn't exactly go over well with the townsfolk either. Heck, it didn't even go over well with her family. For all the different kinds of species in Bon Temps, it was surprising just how non-accepting the locals were. That angry mob a while back, that sorta reminded her of how the witch hunts were described in that history book her father had gotten her to help her learn all about America. She'd wanted a world history book, but Andy had insisted she stick to her country before she started learning about the others.
"So would I," Adilyn admitted tucking some fallen hair behind her ear. "People don't get that the whole telepathy thing's not somethin' I can shut off, not yet anyway," she offered, and she imagined it was much the same for a vampire's strength, it was just a part of you and you couldn't just get rid of or shut down a part of you. Even if you could, it would probably make you feel really empty inside, like a piece of you was missing. "It's real nice though, being around your kind, on account of not usually being able to hear your thoughts."
She had heard Violet's thoughts a little earlier, but Adilyn figured that was either because the vampire was really pissed, or because she had reverted back to almost like how she'd been as a human. "I will, thanks again," she replied before getting herself cleaned up and calling the redhead back in. "Really? I've never had a piggy back ride," she answered maybe with more glee than she should have, but potential new experiences were exciting. Andy certainly wasn't ever going to piggy back her, maybe when she was three, but that was a short-lived age, as was most ages before and after that.
"I'm fine, really...and glad to hear he's not too mad," Adilyn replied worrying her lip lightly. That 'I hate you' had been meant for Miss Holly, but she'd kinda just shouted it back at both of them without specifying, so she was glad her father either knew it wasn't for him, didn't care, or had gotten over it already. "I'm kinda new to piggy backing...how um do I hope on? Like is there a preferred method?" Okay, she officially felt stupid, evident from the slight blush she tried to hide. There had to be like a right way and a wrong way right? She wouldn't wan to do it wrong and end up choking Jessica. Of course, Jessica being a vampire and all, she was pretty sure that choking wouldn't actually kill her.
