âOh thank you.â She looked down at her ensemble, how did she get so lucky? Not only was Collin kind and adorable but he also appreciated her fashion efforts. She eyed him playfully for a moment, he was too good to be true. Maybe he wasnât? Ella pinched his cheek, part to bother him and two, to make sure that he was in fact real. âYeah, so Iâve heard.â She looked down at the device. âThatâs how you know weâre at a fancy establishment.â Ella wrapped her arms around one of his, holding him close.
Collin laughed, moving his face away from her hand, making a slight face. âThatâs what I thought. Buzzing device is very high class.â He smiled, looking down at her how her arms held onto him. He was still living in a fog, not entirely sure this wasnât some sort of fever dream and that he would wake up in his bed any second once it broke. But it was nice, being around Ella, whether it was real or not. So heâd at least enjoy it while it lasted.
âBecause I met with him a couple days ago, and when he kept giving me shit about how his wine was more ârefined,â I waited till he went to the bathroom to switch my wine out with his. Came back. Took a sip. Didnât even notice the fucking difference.â Freddieâs lips then parted in an attempt bribe Collin with the Star Wars tickets, but he was soon disrupted when he gave in. The thud of the pillow smacking against the door caused Freddie to smirk over at Sienna. It was a lot easier than heâd thought. âOur boy is learning.â He commented proudly before his attention was drawn over to Collin once he opened the door. âTo Wonderland with the help of a friend I like to call Mary Jane. Now, the next words out of your mouth better be something along the lines of yea, or you are under the obligation to give me that diamond thatâs been forming in your ass. And, donât start worrying if you owe taxes on it.â He teased before going to take out the tickets ââNo, the stake is actually,â Holding them in front of him, he began to whistle the Catina Band theme song.
Sienna had to laugh, she wasnât honestly expecting an answer more so an excuse to why he knew better than the other guy, âDamn, you definitely caught him in the act I suppose. Though he also couldâve been too tipsy to realize.â She joked, her attention turning to the door when she heard a thud, turning to smirk at Freddie as she pushed herself off the wall. âHi Collin,â She gave him a small wave, quite glad to see he was alive and willing to at least listen to what their plan was. Even if Collin was against the whole idea of going out high as kites, she was at least hoping the idea of the movie tickets would have him tagging along for a short while. âOkay, well other than the bribery of Star Wars tickets, the idea of spending some much needed time with your two best friends should convince you enough,â She rolled her eyes at Freddieâs whistling, âWe havenât see you in forever and besides itâs the Christmas season, you know time to spend with loved ones.â
Collinâs lips pursed around his protest. Wandering around high as all hell, of course that was the plan. Not to mention he wasnât a fan of diamond joke, god he hated that. The tickets though, did catch his attention, as Freddie of course knew they would. He sighed, glancing at Sienna as she spoke. If there was anyone who could make him feel bad it was her. The combination of the movie, Freddieâs annoying cheer, and Siennaâs reasoning was enough to break him. He might be on his deathbed, but at least he could die with his best friends. He supposed. âYeah.â He said, making a face at Freddie as he snatched the tickets out of his hand, both in teasing and to make sure they were actually real. âAlright, in the spirit of Christmas, and the Force, Iâll come. For a while.â He grabbed his jacket and stepped out of his room, a smile growing across his face. âi canât believe thereâs still anyone in town willing to sell you weed. Or let you into a public theater.â he joked lightly.
Walking over to Collinâs room with Sienna, he was scrolling through someoneâs Instagram to find the sudden burst of wine pictures. âOne very serious danger of playing a part is that itâs possible to believe your own act.â He said randomly as he tilted the screen over to show her. âAbout three weeks ago, this guy went to his first wine tasting party. Look at him now. An official wine snob. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, but he legitimately believes he knows what heâs taking about when itâs all bullshit.â He said as he turned off his phone to slide it into his pocket to once they reached their friendâs room door and knocked. âCollin, get dressed. Sienna, you, and I are getting out of here for the rest of the day, and ânoâ isnât an answer.â Should he have called first? Probably. But, he knew Collin would be in his room. And, to him, it was better to be direct in this case.
Sienna had her fingers and eyes drawn to the game she was playing on her phone for the short walk to Collinâs room, offering only a small sound of acknowledgement when she heard him start speaking. She glanced at the photo on the phone once she had ended her game, grabbing it from his hand as he gave an explanation about the multitude of similar pictures of wine, âAnd you know for sure he doesnât know shit when it comes to wine because..?â She asked, jokingly, as she gave him back the phone after scrolling through a few more pictures. âNo, youâre right though, this is probably one of those times he should really check it before posting it,â She replied, crossing her arms to lean against the adjacent wall as he called for their friend. âIf he doesnât get out in the next few minutes, I say you give him a small tease of what heâs missing out on.â
He could hear the voices coming down the hall, but still played dumb. maybe he was imagining things, everyone starts to sound the same when youâre hearing them through walls right? But of course it was Freddie, he could always tell when it was Freddie. when the knock and command came, Collin pulled a pillow over his face, as if that would hide him. Why could he just leave him there to die? He could hear the soft trill of Siennaâs voice, of course she was there, too. God, he just wanted to stay in bed, but was it worth the fight? Probably not, heâd just end up losing. âFine.â He called back, launching his pillow at the door before rolling out of bed and walking to the door. He pulled it open, standing in the crack of it, still not fully committing to leaving. âwhere are we going?â He asked, before turning his head to give a quick âHi Sienna.â and then focused back on his best friend.
Ella was giddy, but like, even more giddy than she usually was. This was a date. This was not just her and Colin hanging out or getting food together. No, this was a date date. Her first date date in forever. That didnât include he who must not be named. She shook her head to take him out of there, tonight wasnât about past mistakes. It was about future rightâs. And Collin was definitely that.Â
âYou look really dashing tonight.â Ellaâs hands ran down the front of Collinâs jacket.
Collin smiled, glancing down at Ellaâs hands and shrugging a little. He wasnât sure how he was supposed to react to a statement like that. Not when itâs meant seriously anyway, he assumed it was serious. âThanks.â He answered simply. Dressing for a date with Ella had seemed like a herculean task early, at least she didnât seem disappointed with his choice. âYou look really beautiful.â He didnât even really need to see what she was wearing to know that, she always looked nice. âSo is this thing going to buzz or light up or something?â He asked, glancing down at the device the hostess had given him when he put their name in for a table.
[text]: I know right, it feels so good to say that. One down. And hopefully one I ended with very high grades, you know. [text]: Oh, stop. How cliche would it be if I waited for you to do everything? [text]: It's 2015, it's totes the new norm for the girl to ask the cute guy on a date. [text]: I'll see you in a hour?
[text]: Iâm sure you ended it on a very high note. Youâre smart and you worked really hard. [text]: i didnât mean since I was the guy I shouldâve asked. I meant because I like you. And you asked me to Homecoming and Halloween, and just about every other time weâve done anything. Itâs pretty lame that I didnât ask...ever. [text]: An hour works. Iâll see you then.
[text]: It means that I'm inviting you to go get dinner with me. [text]: As in, you and me... I just finish my last final and I just thought if not now, when?
[text]: Congratulations on your final. One semester down, thatâs a great accomplishment. [text]: Dinner would be great. Thatâs probably a thing I shouldâve asked...a while ago, actually. But now is better than when. Definitely.
[text]: Hey, I wanted to ask if you were busy tonight... [text]: Because I might have something that will make you unbusy.
[text]: Iâm not sure what that means, but Iâm intrigued. And also not busy.

Day Six:Â a female character (of someone elseâs)
Delilah Floyd; played by Evey
If I go on too much about Delilah I might wreck myself. So let me just say, I love her. I love seeing her grow and react to everything that goes on in her life. I love being able to love her on several of my characters, and I love that she is such a fun and loving and interesting character. Iâm going to continue to lover her as much as I can and you should, too.

Day Three: Your Most Recent Character
âOh, sure, bargaining, you listen to, but learning a valuable life lesson? Psh, fuck thatâŠTalk about selective hearing, Colin. And, in my defense, who in the right mind can turn down fries? Better yet, cheese fries. Emphasis on the cheese, A.K.A Americaâs love affair.â Â
âBargaining is useful. I donât think what you consider to be a valuable life lesson is exactly something that would be featured on an episode of Sesame Street, Freddie. So yeah, I select not to hear some of that. Youâre so patriotic. Itâs beautiful, really.â
âIâm great at it. I have this really cute eyemask-â She reached into her purse, pulling out the fuzzy pink eyemask. âI throw this on and Iâll be fine. Out like a baby.â Ella scoffed, shaking her head. âYou are not going to incur anyoneâs wrath. Youâre too adorable for anyone to dislike, especially my family. My mom would probably pinch your cheeks the entire time, that and give you a tan. Youâd a bit too pale for her liking, I donât think itâs a bad thing though, itâs like Robert Pattinson in Twilight cute.â
If it had been anyone else, heâd have made a face at the comparison. Probably a comment, too. But it was Ella, who was sitting across from him with that too adorable to be real smile and holding that fuzzy pink eyemask, and so instead he found himself chuckling. âI could probably do with some sun, yeah.â He nodded. âThe pinching cheeks would be a new experience though. Never had that happen to me before. She sounds nice though.â
âHow many orders have you had already?â
âNot enough. I can tell you that for sure.â
âSo, if there are no fries, youâll leave?âŠI have taught you well. Cheese fries, it is.â
âI was bound to pick up something from you eventually. Plus, I knew it wouldnât be hard to talk you into fries.â
Ella bit the inside of her cheek, wondering if he had to be so adorable when she had to say goodbye. Ella turned to their server, smiling up at her. âWeâll take another order of french fries. To stay.â She looked back to Collin, shrugging. âYou know the red eye doesnât exactly seem all that bad.â
Collin smiled, ducking his head for a moment. âHow are you with sleeping on airplanes? If youâre good at it, maybe it wonât be bad at all.â He chuckled. âUnless Iâm incurring the wrath of the Woodsons.â
âWell, yeah, duh.â She said, tapping her temple although that meant that she was actually going to be leaving and she was enjoying his company all too much. âNo, no. We donât want that. Then Iâd be stuck here until the red eye and no one wants that.â
Collin laughed and nodded, playing with his hands awkwardly on the table. âWell, I mean, I wouldnât mind that, but it would suck for you. So Iâd feel bad about it.â
âAnother order of fries? If I miss my flight, youâre so coming with me.â
âWe can get them to go? I donât want to make you miss your flight.â
