In honor of the Jeeko summer weekend I decided to finish up the fic I started during the previous Jeeko weekend, so here it is; last chapter of "I prayed to the moon and she answered"
It was only supposed to be a one shot, but it's never that easy is it?

Summary of chapter:
Both Zuko and Jee struggle to settle in with Jee as a personal guards although for slightly different reasons.

āācanāt even hold a formation against nuns,ā Zuko hisses, wrestling off his vambraces. āUtterly incompetent, uselessā" Zuko yanks the tie out of his phoenix tail, rough enough about it that Jee winces and pats at his own shorn hair in sympathy.
Jee knows better than to offer his help when the brat is like this, though.
He just keeps a careful distance from the pieces of armor getting slung unceremoniously onto the sandy river shoreāoh, the bratās going to be in a mood about that, once he calms down enough to regret it. Jee sighs. He knows already that heās going to let himself get dragged into helping polish it all to proper regulation standards againāand stays carefully up-wind as he admires the view.
Jee is, he thinks as he folds his own uniform into a much more tidy pile, a bit agog that openly admiring is a thing heās permitted to do, these days.
Or maybe heās a bit agog over the view itself. Because it truly is a wonderful one, even with the brat grumbling and snapping all the while. Peeling himself out of his sweat-and-perfume-drenched tunic while muttering about bounty hunters. Bending to undo his boots while hissing about how no one is capable of following basic orders these days, a statement that Jee is sure fully includes himself and that heād normally be irritated over.
The brat is irritated enough for the both of them at the moment, thoughānot hurt, judging by the tenor of Zukoās complaints, not that snarling, cornered energy he gets when heās hurting and trying not to show it.
Well and truly irate, though. Certainly too annoyed to pay any attention to Jee there with him, which isnāt exactly unusual, even if Jee is less used to it these days.
Or at least, less used to it when it involves being naked. And the usually-aggravating disregarding is even more annoying when Jeeās going through the effort of puffing up his chest and sucking in his gut and flexing his thighs that way the brat seems to like. Agniās asshole, sure, todayās action didnāt go as the brat planned. But does it ever, when the Avatar is concerned?
And Jee is standing here now, bare-assed and barefoot on the rocky sand, starting to feel foolish and irritated with itāa feeling that burns right away when those dragon eyes glance his way, aggravation replaced by something much more gratifying as the brat does an actual double-take, cutting off mid-complaint, and Agniās fire. Being one of the few things that can shake Zukoās focus off the Avatar is a heady thing, even when it takes long enough for Jeeās knee to start aching.
āEver skinny dipped, Sir?ā He asks, pushing that aside for later and focusing on brat in front of him. He doesnāt make Zuko push for the title, not when he can tell heās frustrated enough already that he wonāt be able to let the perceived slight to his authority slide.
Zuko gives him a suspicious look, proving him right, and drops trou like itās nothing. āNo.ā
āWant to, Sir?ā Two āsirās back-to-back, shit. Jee holds his breath even though it does slightly uncomfortable things to his fire and keeps his face carefully neutral. He canāt have the brat thinking heās being impertinent, not when that kind of goading is more likely to end with a ball-withering haranguing than anything sexy right now.
āWhat would it involve, Lieutenant?ā Zuko finally asks, clearly still suspicious and tone annoyingly imperious, his chin jutting forward for good measure like he isnāt licking his lips, gaze dipping down to Jeeās cockāwhich twitches to life now that Zuko is taking notice, the traitor.
āGenerally speaking?ā Jee keeps his tone respectful, just warm enough to avoid any accusations of sarcasm. āAt least two people. A body of natural water.ā He watches Zukoās eyes flick around as if checking each item off a list. āNo clothes.ā
Those eyes snap back to Jeeās cock, which very much appreciates the attention even with the brat half-looking like heās thinking about biting it. āAnd?ā
āSir?ā Jee blinks out of the brief fantasy.
Zuko narrows his eyes at Jeeās stiffening cock and then his face like he can see inside Jeeās head, which Jee knows the brat canāt because heās still alive but Agni, when he gets that glitter to his eyes... āWhat else, Lieutenant,ā Zuko snaps, impatient.
āAnything,ā Jee shrugs, āWhatever the two people want, from there, Sir,ā he quickly adds when the bratās lips twist into the scowl he always wears when faced with not knowing something.
Jee holds his breath again as he waits to see if the brat is going to let himself be coaxed into a different mood. Itās a bad habit, but if thatās the worst the kid picks up from him, heāll call it a success. He risks his own quick admiring glance, too, lingering a moment over Zukoās more-than-half-hard-already cockāAgni, the kid makes Jee feel oldābefore forcing his gaze back up to watch Zuko considering Jeeās words, clearly turning them over every way he can think to flip them.
āVery well, Lieutenant,ā Zuko finally says, chin tilted into the air in a way that Jee has somehow learned to tolerate when the brat is naked. āSkinny dip with me.ā
An order, practically a demand, and not even a respectfully phrased one at that, butā
āYes, Sir,ā Jee says, stepping into the water, desire and affection swirling alongside his inner flame when Zuko quickly outpaces him, glaring. and then backs deeper into the stream like itās a race to win, the brat contrary by nature and impulse and in all things and Jee really must be a fool, to have learned to find it so endearing.
