Mitzuki knew what kind of face that was. A while ago he seemed to be embarrassed by these unknown emotions and now he was back at his usual smirk. Her arms moved up to wrap around his waist. “ Hmmm.. I do wonder. Perhaps.. overpowering him? but… we both know that’s impossible..”

A small hum escaped Garnet, playfully perking an eyebrow. “Impossible? I suppose we wouldn’t know unless we try, hm?” He gave her hips a gentle squeeze, teasing her as he leaned in close.

Mitzuki chuckled, looking up at him with a smirk, feeling his squeeze. “ I suppose we should try now, huh?” She winked at him, leaning up to kiss his lips.

Garnet’s lips curled into a smirk, softly chuckling as he placed his hands on Mitzuki’s hips and pulled her closer. “Oh? And how do you intend on doing that?”

Garnet’s body froze as he heard those words, unsure of whether or not to say them back even though he wanted to say them all along.

Is this what it feels like to truly be in love?

He let out a shaky sigh. “You know me too well… But yes - I love you, Mitzuki.”

Mitzuki chuckled, pecking his lips. “ I love you too, Garnet.” She said, rubbing his cheeks for a moment and pats it. “ Well.. I’ll gladly join your gang. It’s about time someone needs to keep their BOSS in line too.” She teased.

Garnet breathed a sigh, stifling his laughter a bit. “I’m so glad. To be honest, I don’t know what I’d do if you left…”

His face flushed a light shade of pink. “I… Well, I…” He paused for a moment to gather his thoughts, his heart suddenly pounding in his chest. “I…like…having you here.”

Mitzuki watched him intently, a small smirk across her face as her finger went to boop his nose. “ Don’t you mean..”

She would suddenly reach up to his ear and whisper.

“ I love you..”

Garnet chuckled somewhat. “I wasn’t really expecting you to say yes. It was just a thought. Besides, you can help keep some of these morons in line.”

He breathed a sigh and placed his hands on her shoulders. “I just… I want you here with me. We make a good team…and I…” He shifted his gaze, feeling as if the words he wanted to say were stuck in his throat.

Mitzuki chuckled, “ Well.. If it’s being with you, I’d say yes. Besides, I’m not unfamiliar when it comes to dealing with morons. I did that with my sisters.”

“ I won’t leave your side, Garnet..” She held one of his hands on his shoulders. Mitzuki tilts her head when he halted his sentence.

“.. What is it?”

“Good. Because I’ve been thinking…”

Garnet placed his hands over hers, giving them a gentle squeeze. “How would you feel about being a permanent member of my group? You’ll be by my side as my right hand… What do you say?”

“Hmm?” Mitzuki kept her hands there, smiling at him ready to hear what he has to say.

At first, she was at the idea of being a permanent of his member then he mentions being his right hand. Her hands pull away and now crossed over her chest. Her face now into a pout.

“... I expected that I’ll just stab by your side as your lover but-- right-hand man. Geez..”

Baelz appears behind Mitzuki in a swirl of shadow and wrapped his arms around her. "It's been a while, my dear~" he murmured softly.

Mitzuki glanced behind her and smiled, seeing Baelz. “ It’s been a long time Baelz.. I missed you.”

Garnet slightly tilted his head more into her hand, pressing it closer to his cheek. “So…are you planning on sticking around for a while?”

“ Good..”

Mitzuki smiled, moving her other hand to both of his cheeks now. “ I don’t play on leaving the first place.”

Garnet playfully perked an eyebrow, a short laugh escaping him. “Well, I never thought I’d hear that in my lifetime.” He looked her over, his expression softening a bit. “I’m glad to see you too. I… I missed you.”

“ Well, you’ll only hear it from me.”

Mitzuki looked up at him, her hand moving up to his cheek. “ I missed you too.” She said in a slight whispered tone.

“Letters could be tracked or tampered with, even if I were to put it under a fake name. Again, I’m not taking that chance.”

Garnet let out a sigh and shook his head. “Whatever. At least you see them…and at least you’re still alive.”

“ That’s true.. Anything can really happen if you’re a criminal and everyone is set on finding you.”

Mitzuki sighed, and walked a bit closer to him, moving a hand on his shoulder. “ And you as well. I’m.. glad to see you Garnet.”

Minami could immediately detect Onyx was getting delirious from this sickness he was suffering right now. The first thing she did was start fanning him to give him that cool breeze. Her hands moving to caress his shoulder and her head leaning close to him. " You're alright Onyx.. you're alright.. "

my muse is suffering a fever so high they’re delirious and hallucinating… how does your muse try to calm them down / care for them?

All Onyx knew was that he was cold, so cold. His body would constantly be shivering as sweat beaded down his forehead and neck. He kept seeing things, hearing things even, but the only thing he knew that had to be real was the feeling of Minami beside him.

“Mi… Minami…”

There was so much he wanted to say, but no words would come out as he struggled to breathe. It felt as though he was suffocating.

“Don’t…leave me.”

It took a moment for Onyx to finally catch his breath, but it still came out in short pants. He felt too weak to do anything else, so he gave a small hum in response to her gestures.

“My sister… She’s a kind and gentle soul… I’m sure she would love you.”

He was finally starting to feel calm, but his mind was still racing and his body was starting to ache. He just wanted this sickness to pass.

“Minami… I…”

“ I would’ve loved to meet you.” Her voice was soft and careful, not loud enough to be ringing in his ears. Hands slowly caressing his soft locks. She gave him the medicinal treatment that he needed so far and it was just up to his body to recover.

“Hmm?” She tilts her head to the side, one hand stopping by his cheek. “ What is it..?”

Onyx’s first instinct was to follow the warmth, resting his head against Minami as he took a moment to catch his breath. His body still shivered, but the heat was helping a little.

“Minami…”

His eyes were shut and his words came out somewhat slurred, but that didn’t stop him from saying what he wanted to say.

“If you…see my sister…tell her I’m sorry…”

An imagine of Sapphire appeared in his mind.

“She’s so young…and so innocent… She deserves so much more…than what she was given…”

Dammit, at times like these I wish Mitzuki was here to provide us the warmth. 

Minami kept rubbing his back to warm him up even more. She sighed deeply listening to Onyx, he must’ve been carrying a heavy burden this whole time. Her hand made it’s way to his own, clenching it tightly. “ I’m certain she’ll forgive you..”

With one hand, she reached over to his blanket to wrap themselves around it to provide even more warmth from him. Her arms still wrapped around him and slowly, she kissed his forehead again. “ you’re going to be okay Onyx...”

The temperature in his body was alarming, it would be critical if it ever went colder like a frostbite. She continued to console him and stopped fanning him after noticing his body being cold. Minami suddenly threw her jacket away from her shoulders revealing a sleeveless top and slightly unzipped it. No she wasn’t going to ‘entice’ him but rather wrap her arms around him to give him the body warmth he needed.

 “ I won’t leave you Onyx.. i won’t..” She made sure to provide enough space for him to breath. Her lips moving up to press onto his temple as her hand moved up and down his back to provide a bit of friction to heat up his back a bit.
