2026 zutara crumbs, don't ask me anything about the plot

Zutara Week 2022 Day 1: Tradition

Unfortunately this is the only prompt I was able to get done this year. I really wish I had been able to do them all (it’s tragic because I even have some roughs for mini animatics for almost every day ToT who knows maybe I’ll finish them one of these days), but alas I ran out of time and energy just getting off of a project and being in my 9th month of pregnancy. But hey wouldn’t it be fun if my baby was born during this year’s Zutara Week. lol Anywho, just a very short little mini-animatic for this prompt.

Dedicated to the ZDAS, you all are still very much in my thoughts. n.n

Super bummed I missed another Zutara week, but boy, does a toddler keep a person busy. ^^; My kid has me revising my initial Zuko and Katara have three kids idea, maybe one is enough haha Anywho, hope everyone is doing well.

@favlie No time to draw, but this is for you! I do like Katara's clothes in the new movie screencaps I've seen. I have not seen the movie because I'd never watch a leak, but a screencap or two o.o But yeah, Lightning scar emotions have consumed me.

Anyway, I haven’t been as active on here because I’ve had a couple kids and worked in between them, so drawing in my free time was nonexistent. But canon events I am not into are enough to make me rise from the grave… if only for a bit. I’m a bit rusty and am drawing whilst underneath a sleeping baby, so forgive me.

-- you look at me in the eyes and tell me they dont have a thing. also, it's been a hot moment since i last drew anything remotely close to anime style. and then this movie happened. <sighs> oh, zuko and katara... what i wont do for you...

@hayleynwong round 2 you said? also tried to put more effort this time. you're rising the bar, my friend! (putting more efforted it included having to go through the frames of the movie. which also included having to see [redacted]. btw i still cant believe they had the audacity to remove his scar. what are you scared of, br*ke?)

The fact that Zuko and Katara barely have a few scenes sitting side by side, no interaction or words exchanged between them whatsoever, and the ship still got a lot of content and support despite that. I saw Kataang fans being upset that the movie didn't manage to make people jump ships the way they thought it would. This is so funny

schrödingers "zuko redemption arc" in which he has the best redemption arc ever but at the same time hes a colonizer and the worst person in the world depending on whether the person you're talking to likes zutara or not
