Another Day, Another Project On Hold.

This morning, I woke up in a really rough state. In order to clear my head, I decided to install the new brakes I got for my bike. Come to find out after getting past the point of no return, (having removed the old brakes completely and installed the new front brakes) the brake lines were far too long to safely ride with. I tried taking them off to trim them down, and discovered that the fittings for the lines are single use. New parts and tools are on order, and they should arrive tomorrow. I'll post an update soon.

Woke Up Early

I think my nerves are getting to me. I woke up to me tearing into my scalp in my sleep, and the itching won't stop. I think my nerves are getting the best of me. If the itching doesn't go away I'm gonna need to see a doctor.

With this new job starting in the next week and money being tight, I reckon the stress is worse than I realize. It would explain why I've been waking up early lately.

My Tread Is Dead

Apparently you aren't supposed to use normal bike tires on an 80lb ebike that regularly reaches 40 miles an hour, and often travels 20-30 miles twice a day... Oops! Guess I'm saving up for some endurance touring tires! The prices may be murder in comparison, but I'd rather buy expensive tires once than cheap ones every few months!

For the amount of money I save with this thing, I may as well drop some cash for good parts! Hence why I'm throwing some hydraulic brakes on there too. Just waiting for the wiring harness to show up so I can splice it into the drivetrain control module.

Ebikes are really fun, and crazy useful, but they are a lot of work to maintain if you ride long distances every day. Especially if you are hauling cargo like I do.

Exactly! I didn't have the luxury of KNOWING I'm trans, although there was a time where the idea had resonated with me when I was young, but I ignored it out of humiliation. Biggest mistake of my life. I wish I had known it was ok to do it back then, because now that I've grown up, it's much more difficult to get the results I want. Let trans kids feel normal so they don't have to pretend to fit a mould that hurts them.
