A Quick Update
Ok probably not a quick one at all. It has been a interesting month or two. I had a medical procedure done back on April 15th. An endoscopic procedure to put a stent into a psuedocyst in my pancreas. The procedure went well, but I had a bit of a complication after being sent home, I started running a fever, had chills and pain. The top three things in the call them immediately list. I came down…

A few months ago, I was browsing a local pawn shop hoping to find something interesting. Looking thru the used cameras behind their counter, I spotted an old Olympus 35mm film camera and with no second thoughts decided it needed a home. Concert Photography
There is nothing like shooting a show…… And after an absence of a few years, I have started shooting concerts again! I am once again covering shows for Northeast Rock Review So far this year I have covered a couple of 80s Guitar Greats and a 70s Guitar Great in a wide range of venues, from Mohegan Sun Arena, to the Webster and the Infinity Music Hall. Gallery: Its Time For A New Blog Post on Frank Piercy Photography
Well, it has been a couple of weeks now. I think almost 3 weeks since my first blog post here on the new site. Like the proverbial tortoise, I am slowly but surely adding new content every few days, such as the NEW Concert Photography Galleries, Like Anthrax from their 2017 stop at the Oakdale Theatre and Vain from this years M3 FestivalI have also been tweaking the presentation a bit more here and there as I learn more about this new website and how it works.For instance, I have split the Animals and Birds gallery into two separate galleries. I am pretty sure as time goes on and I keep adding more images, I will be making more changes. Like to the Nature Gallery, it will eventually be split into a couple of different ones. Well Lets Talk about something else for now.......I often get asked for my advice by new photographers. Lord knows why they are asking me for advice, not like I am all that great at this photography thing or know everything there is to know about photography (Tho I can act like it LOL) There are two things that I keep telling them.1. Read your manual.I know, its a bunch of boring gobbledygook, but the things you will learn. I not only have read the paper version many times, but I also keep a pdf version on my phone and also on my tablet. You never know when there will be time, when you think to yourself, "Hey My Camera can do that, how do I do it?" 2. NEVER go anywhere without a camera.You WILL thank me later. When I was going to college, I started playing more and more with a used Canon AE-1. One of my fellow students, was actually a sports writer and photographer for a local newspaper and passed on that beautiful piece of advice..I never would've gotten that picture of the deer if I had left my camera in my car while at work that morning, or that beautiful landscape with the pond.Frank --
