Salud! (or why I'm writing happy again)
I highly doubt that anyone missed me during my 3-month, unplanned hiatus. Honestly, I stopped using Tumblr because no one around me used it anymore. I used to be a cool social media website back when I was in college, studying theater and trying to figure out my life. I still am, only with less art and a little less stress. Because I don't know, I realized that I was really paranoid and unsettled a lot when I was in college. Maybe I was a little bit overstimulated by what's happening around me with all the parties, film screenings, classes, and college sports that was happening around. Oh, and also this pressure so keep up with a certain kind of crowd. Everyone was idealistic, but not everyone necessarily did something to make it reality. I may be one of those people who just kept on dreaming and dreaming but wasn't actually sure where I was going. I thought I did, and now, things turned out quite differently but for the good. I honestly did not think that I would be writing for a living right now, albeit not full-time but still, it's been quite a stable job. Daring and unpredictable sometimes but for the most part, it's given me time to think, make mistakes, make more mistakes, break people's hearts, break my heart, distrust myself, and ultimately, picked myself back up... I'm starting to write more and more for pleasure now. Writing used to be a difficult chore. It always is but at least I feel like I'm getting more out of it now. I don't where it's going to lead me but I think I've gotten to a place where it's actually served me and I've heard feedback from people that I should keep doing it, which was great. There may not be many writers around where I'm from, but at least it's given be the platform to, like I said, mess up and learn tons from my mistakes. Not to mention being scared to death that what I'm writing might anger some people. I guess that's the point of all of it. I'm not afraid to write anymore because I'm offending people. I'm writing because I do actually have something to say, I'm quite a respectable and level-headed person and I deserve to express my mind and be heard. Because otherwise, it all just builds up inside me and rots inside of me until I get random side effects that I don't have any control over. And I didn't know that could happen to people or to me. Maybe that's why I keep on writing, so I can keep on living normally. Besides, it's free unlike acting where I have to wait to get auditions before I can even express myself onstage. More on that later. But, I'm just glad that I'm doing this right now. Oh, it was all because of this website. Might be a little late to the party, but I'm still having fun:
