Lots of these songs were added for the eerie-ness (very effective when actually reading the book); coincidentally i was listening to Harold Budd’s Let Us Go Into The House without actually processing the title and DAMN is it fitting, title and atmosphere wise.

Most other songs relate to Merricat in some way both in ambience and lyricism (Treasure Hiding/Why Do You Love Me?).
