Long post warning!! 2010 Just Friends: This was the very first picture we took together. We were just friends at the time, and I remember asking someone to take a picture of us with my digital camera. Lol. Photo was taken at the Avalon night club in Santa Clara. It was one of their Aloha Friday events and we went to see Anuhea. We met when we were both working at Yahoo. I was working for Bean Trees and Jen was working for Bon Appetit. I was 21 and she was 24. 2015 Couple: Two years into our relationship. Didn’t have an easy start, but we made it through and continued to work at our relationship. This photo was taken at another Anuhea concert, but this time it was at the Mezzanine in San Francisco. We did wear similar looking clothes on purpose. I was working as a Barista for Bon Appetit at Informatica and Jen was a couple of years into her role as a Regional Recruiter and Safety Manager. I was 26 and she was 29. 2020 Married: Three years into our marriage. Relationships are never easy. We have our ups and downs just like everyone else. Because of the pandemic, there were no Anuhea concerts to attend for our “Five Year Photo.” We were going home for a week so decided we would take our photo there instead. Similar clothes again. (: This year has been a wild one so far. Jen and I have seen SIP as a blessing in disguise. We found our way back to each other. We worked on ourselves, and on our relationship. We started to cook and bake together again. We started to eat out less. We painted in the beginning of this, we put our phones down, picked up books, and did a few puzzles. We moved into a bigger place with a yard for our two fur babies and the four of us absolutely love it. We continue to work on ourselves and our relationship and I couldn’t be happier. I work for Pet’s Friend Animal Clinic and Jen works for Bon Appetit. I am 31 and Jen will be 34 next month. So much has changed since that first photo was taken. I love our continuous growth. Thank you for being the amazingly good BeeO that you are. I feel so lucky that I get to do life with you! I’m excited to see where we’ll be in 2025!
