I played guitar for ten years before I realized it wasn’t a weapon.

E7#9 The Hendrix Chord
One of my favorite chords, the E7#9 from "Purple Haze" has a colorful ambiguity. It consists of a root (E), major 3rd (G#), flat 7th (D) and a sharp 9th (F##). The sharp 9th is an enharmonic equivalent to G, the flat 3rd. This major against minor tonality creates a nice bluesy dissonance which works well with the chord's structure and spacing.
Maybe I should buy another Strat!$!
The guitar is the easiest instrument to play, and the hardest to play well.
