The few moments between Peters question and strange answer seemed to edge on forever even if it had only been seconds between them. Perhaps he was hoping for something. Like for Strange to say that it had all been a dream. Or anything to lift him from this horror.
And yet as the conversation had moved more into mundane small talk he had resolved himself to not get his hopes up again.
"Yeah… I heard about it all on the news right.. " he knew he had to lie. He had no idea if telling someone about it would break the spell or something. He had to be careful. "Mr. Stark was put in the mausoleum with his parents… I heard" he paused realizing he kinda let it out he had gone to see him too. "I bet the Avengers are in rough shape over it.. " Typical peter. Doing everything in his power to not talk about himself. It was better this way.
He hadn't noticed the shift in the air at frist. He knew that Tony and Strange had known eachother and well Peter knew that he knew Tony as well. It was clear they were both not recovering well from this death. Though now no one acutually knows that Peter is suffering. He didn't want to think about how it looked. He had visited it to at night. so no one knew he was. Mostly as spiderman so that he didn't have to explain himself. Part of him wanted to explain everything. Break down and just beg for him to reverse it, But he had to deal with the consequences of his own actions.
"what about me?" He wasn't sure why he had been so surpised he asked such a question but for the time he had known Strange he knew that there was a nice guy under all that gruff. "I'm Fine..." He lied agian. He didn't want to try and break whatever spell had been placed. Though it was clear he was breaking. "I'm fine..."

[ 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩 ] : sender is telling receiver they "deserve better than whatever this is".

Starter for @americashielded it was far to early in the morning when his body forced him awake. They had seen eachother a few times in passing and the day he had moved in but not really had time to talk. So curious he came in and looked around the gym "I didn't know you'd be in here training. Is this a good time? I don't need the whole room or anything... "
Steve looked good. He knew the serum helped with that (he also knew his spider bite did pretty much the same thing) but just like him sometimes it was nice to take out a little steam. Which he could see by the punching bag he already had. He thought about making a small quip about it but decided to keep his frist real interaction tame for now. Didn't want to scare him off.
"Oh hey. You can call me whatever you like sir. I guess we did kinda save the universe together.. kinda still getting over it all..." He would be lying if he said he hadn't been shaken by it. Being snapped away then coming back 5 years later. It was a lot on anyone but he was glad when he was invited to become an avenger.
"do you need a spotter for it? I don't look that strong but I can keep up if you need me too. " He seemed happy to just be in the same room. So maybe he was a bit nervous trying to make a good first impression but he just hoped he could fit in like everyone else. Show he wasn't a kid anymore but someone in their own right.

To be honest it while it had been his idea he wouldn’t have made it this far without he help of Karen. Tony didn’t know that he had gone on this mission and Keren had kept it a secert, but he had to find her. So when he finally got a lead he had followed it. Manageing to get to a small abondon building outside of london. It looked clear but he knew that Natsha was a trained assassin. Turned good yes but years of training didn’t go away like that. “Karen can you do a scan of the area?” he asked jumping down from his pearch to the floor of the building. He was in his suit so the lighting wasn’t to bad for him but he could see the layer of dust everywhere as his lens scanned the room with the aid of Karen.
Alright so yeah he was not subtle at all. Normally he could do some stealth missions but having to trace down an ex avenger was far above his experience and so no one could blame he was a little bit nervous. However even with that being said he knew just how important this mission was and this was the time to be serious for once.
"I know you won't believe me but the last part is true. Mr. Stark doesn't want you hurt..." He paused though seemingly a bit embarrassed by the next set of words. "and... *I* don't want you hurt... I know you're super strong and can take care of yourself but I didn't want to think about you on your own out here... So I snuck out. Used Karen to find you and haven't told anyone I'm here... I'm here to help I promise."

Scanning the area he had a thought in the back of his mind worried that she would not show up like she had said. Not that she was a liar or anything but if she did meant she was putting a lot of trust in him. He knew he could be trusted but she didn't. He just had to hope she was willing to give him a chance. Finally after a moment of his scanning his eyes fallen on the deep red hair he knew. Coming closer he made sure no one was watching and came to sit down beside her. He was no longer in uniform but he had hopes she still knew it was him. He knew his secret identity was safe with the Avengers.. or whatever they were now but even more with her. "Hows the coffee?" he spoke up trying to pretend this was a normal interaction though he always had a lousy poker face.

Peter's surprise doesn't really come as a... well, surprise, to him; With everything that had happened in the recent past, including the fact that Strange had used that spell on everyone to make them forget---
Spider Man had caused quite the ruckus, literally so, and in order to control - and reverse - the damage Strange's own reality had taken in return, memories needed to be taken, erased, removed.
Including his own, of course. Stephen Strange was also supposed to forget. Everyone was, everyone who existed at that very moment where shit had hit the fan.
"---No, I actually didn't know her well. Heard of her, you know, the usual, but..."
Bright eyes take in the sight of the younger man reaching out, touching the grave; It feels oddly emotional, really, and Stephen has to swallow down a lump that had appeared within his own throat, threatening to make him choke on his own breath for a second or two.
"But she is one of many who have lost their lives. I like to think of them from time to time - and, when the day feels just right, I come over to visit them. All of them."

He didn't think Tony was fat in the slightest. Still looked as good as he did the day he met him. But he supposed even celebritys had their self esteem issues. Which only made him more human.
His heart fluttering in his chest however the next part took him off guard. Peters eyes going wide and his jaw dropped a bit. Yeah he knew what that was but now he was confused on why Tony would bring it up.
"I um... I think I do sir.... Why do you ask?"
There was a small smile on his face when his mentor started to stumble. It was something that made him more human. Everyone saw him as *The* Tony Stark which he was but seeing him like this made it feel like less of a distance. "Well I think the classes are doing good then" He chuckled going to scoop up some of the omelet onto his fork and taking a big bite. Which just as he expected wasn't to bad. A small smile from the younger man as he chewed it a bit and swollowed. "Mmm Yep pretty good" he said holding up a thumb as he went to eat again. Honestly he was just happy to be here. To have a roof over his head until Tony could get him on his feet. He never thought he'd be an Avenger but here he was. "What about you? did you already eat?"
"Well we can't all have super fast metabolisms so, yes I ate; but it was a liquid breakfast. I do protein shakes in the morning. Need to be able to fit into the armor after all." He watched Peter for a moment before grabbing a chair and sitting across from him.
"Peter. I have a proposition for you. Do you know what a 'Sugar Baby' is?"
He didn't think Tony was fat in the slightest. Still looked as good as he did the day he met him. But he supposed even celebritys had their self esteem issues. Which only made him more human.

The kid had slept over the night before. Tony was in the process of designing him a room now that Peter was old enough to be away from May. But until it was ready; he would stay with Tony.
The breakfast he had brought was an omelet with tons of melty cheese and vegetables and various meats. He had also made home fries. He knew Peter required a lot of calories to get through the day.
"I've been taking classes. Ever since Pepper...and almost poisoning her with...you know what. Never mind. I'm no chef by at least my food is edible now."
