I am Layla and this is an independent, selective and fan-made character-friendly roleplay blog for the character Twilight Sparkle from the My Little Pony franchise! My main blog is @arabianflowers, my Discord is #flowerysabers4647, and my YouTube is Arabian Flower.

Hello! I am Layla and my main blog is @arabianflowers! This is a roleplay blog for the character Twilight Sparkle from the My Little Pony franchise by Hasbro and Lauren Faust! My Little Pony was my favorite show when I was little and meant a lot to me. Twilight Sparkle was always my favorite, and when I saw a few My Little Pony roleplay blogs circulating on Tumblr, I couldn't resist making a blog for my favorite purple princess!

My rules for roleplaying are listed below!

RULES

1.) Be kind! That should go without saying.

2.) Do not post inappropriate messages or images.

3.) Do not spam.

4.) Please refrain from swearing or using vulgarity in any way.

5.) I do not roleplay NSFW (Not Safe For Work) content. This is strictly prohibited.

6.) Twilight is not Muslim, but I am, so there are certain things that I might be uncomfortable with roleplaying even though my character is not Muslim. Please be considerate. I do not expect everyone to know about Islam, so I am more than happy to specify my rules and boundaries in that respect if need be.

PREFERENCES

1. I will roleplay any canon version of Twilight! I love everything about her!

2. I prefer to roleplay in third person, but I also like to roleplay limited, typing as if I am the character, and I am flexible about the way that I roleplay, so I am open to discussion.

3. I mainly play the canon compliant version of Twilight, but I do not mind canon divergent scenarios. Just discuss it with me first and I'll see if I want to do it.

4. If you want to roleplay with me, then comment or interact with this post! You can also private message me, but I would prefer for you to request on my blog and then we can take it to private message.

5. I do not track my roleplays and replies, nor am I picky about the way that people organize their blog. If we begin a roleplay and you respond a week or a month later, I will still try to keep the roleplay going! If I have lost the drive or inspiration, I will let you know. All of my posts are also fully available to interact with, so don't be shy to comment or reblog! Roleplay is supposed to be fun, so don't stress yourself out! As long as you follow my rules you'll be all set!

Twilight Sparkle dried her tears, embarrassed that she had been caught crying. She did her best to put up a tough front as always. "No," she cried. "Rainbow, come back!"

Who had told Rainbow Dash about what one of the townsponies did to her? This was not going to end well.

“What blog,” Twilight asked cluelessly. She looked around to see what he was talking about. “I don’t have a blog,” she clarified. She shrugged and decided to leave it alone.

“Well, things have been pretty chaotic but in a good way,” she chirped.

He giggles at her confusion.  He SO loved to mess with the grape-colored bookworm.

“Chaotic you say?  Oh do tell, my friend!”

“Well, chaotic in a good way I guess! I’ve met lots of new people on here! And lots of different versions of myself!”

“Duplicates?  How very interesting…I suppose we got a bit of a multiverse thing going on?  Or some changelings looking for a prank…”

“Well, apparently, one version of me cracked time travel! The right way this time! Isn’t that great!?”

“Oooo sounds delightful!  Though dabbling in time travel can lead to disaster no matter how careful…and I wouldn’t want disaster to befall my FAVORITE pretty little princess!”

He playfully pinches her cheek

She scrunches up her nose. “Okay, okay,” she says, pushing his paw away gently with her hoof after a few seconds. “I get it. I appreciate it! But I’m certain that I have it right this time. No need to worry!”

“I’m sure you do!  I’m merely saying time is so very fragile….even for the most careful.  One mistake in the past, no matter how small, could lead to disaster in the future….one glimpse of your future could lead to madness…messy stuff.”

He sighs, “But if anyone can get through without causing irreparable damage, its you!  I trust you, Twily!”

Discord's words suddenly bring Twilight back down to reality. He had only made her more paranoid.

"Oh gosh," she says. "You're right! What if...What if the more that I keep talking to different versions of myself, the less original I become, therefore erasing myself and everything in my universe from existence!?"

She is panicking now. Or, as her friends would say, "Twilight-ing."

Rainbow Dash skidded to a stop and turned around as Twilight called her. "What? You think I'm gonna just let them treat you like that?! No way! Nobody picks on my friends without going through me first."

She stomped her hoof, a protective rage blazing in her eyes, but anyone who knew Rainbow Dash knew it wasn't completely impossible to talk her down, even when she got like this.

Twilight, being the ever so rational and intelligent pony that she was, raised her hoof calmly. "I appreciate your desire to protect me, Rainbow," she said. She had always admired her friend's loyalty and fierce protectiveness. "But I can handle myself," she insisted.

"No offense, but it doesn't look like you're handling yourself, Twilight. It looks like you didn't stand up for yourself and got your feelings hurt. I know as well as anypony else does that if you just sit there and take it, they don't stop."

Her expression had softened a little, and she walked back over to Twilight, offering her a hoof up. "At least let me walk you home in case they try anything else."

Twilight normally knew how to stand up for herself, but this particular pony had really been pushing her buttons. They were manipulative and said things behind her back, but were nice to her face. She could not confront them because it would only make her look bad. She was the princess of friendship. That would not be a good look for her.

"I don't know if walking me home would solve anything," she said softly.

"At the very least it will keep them off you for a few minutes, until we get you home." She said gently. "And maybe after that, we can figure out something that will work a little bit better, alright? Because I'm not going to sit here and let them hurt you."

Twilight smiled softly, touched by her friend's kindness. Seeing the soft side of Rainbow Dash was quite rare. "Okay," she gave in.

Dash gave a half smile and helped Twilight up, wrapping one wing around the purple pony. "Let's get you home."

Twilight leaned against her friend slightly as they walked, nuzzled against her warm wing. She felt safe now.

Rainbow Dash stayed close to Twilight, supporting her as much as she needed. She decided to make small talk to keep Twilight's mind off of things. "So, how's your flying been coming along?"

The small talk definitely helped. "Oh it's been going great," she chirped. "Thanks to you! I can fly all the way from my old library to my castle now."

[spacedust-rp]

"Hey, that's pretty epic!" She smiles brightly. "Pretty soon you'll be keeping up with me! Hey, did I ever show you how to preen your feathers properly?"

[friendship-sparkles]

Oh my, Twilight thought. 'Prim your feathers'? What else is there? How much am I missing? I need to do more research.

"Uh, I beg your pardon," she asked awkwardly.

[spacedust-rp]

"Okay, so, feathers are designed to do specific things when you fly. But when you do stuff throughout the day, your feathers get a little ruffled up and they don't do their jobs quite as well. So sometimes you need to clean up your feathers, it's a lot like brushing your mane, honestly. Birds do it too."

"Oh, that makes perfect sense," Twilight said. She spread her wings and stretched to check them. "Do they look clean enough to you," she asked, showing them to Rainbow.

[spacedust-rp]

Rainbow Dash frowns. "Hm... not bad, but definitely could be better. Here, look." She spreads out her own wings for Twilight to compare. "See how mine are all straight and lay flat, while yours are a little fluffed up and jumbled? It's not hard to fix, though. Here, hold on."

She folds her own wings back up and takes a moment to gently straighten Twilight's feathers out for her. "There, how does that feel?"

Twilight ruffled her wings and suddenly felt lighter. She was so much more comfortable than before. She hadn't even realized how mucky her wings were. "Wow, that feels a lot better," she cried out with glee.

"I knew it would. Mine get so itchy if I don't clean them up every now and then." She smiles. "Plus having them all straightened out makes it feel really good when the wind runs through them."

[friendship-sparkles]

"Yeah, the breeze does feel nice on them sometimes," Twilight admitted. "But they weigh me down a little, especially when I'm walking. I two extra appendages now. That's a big thing to get used to."

[spacedust-rp]

"That's fair. I wouldn't know what that's like since I was born with mine. But yours look like they're a bit bigger too, which probably doesn't help." She stretches a little. "This one time, though, I was flying in a really bad blizzard, and my wings got so iced up I couldn't fold them properly so when I landed I needed to drag them through the snow until I got somewhere safe."

"Ugh, that sounds awful," Twilight said, ruffling her wings. "My wings are big. How do you fold big alicorn wings?"

"Probably the same way you fold pegasus wings. It looks like they still work the same way. Here, watch." She stretches her wings out again, and then folds them back in very slowly, so Twilight can see exactly how she moves.

Twilight pays close attention to Rainbow's motions. "Ohhh, I see," she says. "I'm gonna try that now!" She folds her wings back ever so slowly, but fails to open them properly. They spring out like a slinky and whack Rainbow in the face.

Rainbow lets out an undignified yelp, rubbing her nose. "You're not supposed to use pressure like that to hold them closed. You'll hurt yourself. It's more like holding your mouth closed. Once they're folded, just trust your body to keep them there."

Twilight cringes, "Sorry, sorry!" She took a deep breath. "All right, I'll try," she says. She ever so slowly folds her wings closed and instead of formulating a plan to keep them there, she let's them be. They stay closed.

"There you go. Think of it like... like holding your leg up for a pose or something. At first you have to do it on purpose but once it's there you can stop thinking about it."

[friendship-sparkles]

"Okay," Twilight asks. "Now what?" She was more nervous now about flying than she was about the pony who had been spewing hateful words at her.

[spacedust-rp]

"Now try unfolding them slowly. You don't usually want your wings snapping out that fast unless you're falling or about to crash."

[friendship-sparkles]

Twilight cringes as she slowly unfolds her wings, afraid of them popping out like last time.

[spacedust-rp]

"Take your time." Rainbow Dash encourages gently. "They're a part of you, just like the rest of your body. They'll do what you tell them to."

[friendship-sparkles]

Twilight tries to think of her wings like her hooves or her horn. She knows how to control those quite well. Maybe she is overthinking this. She doesn't need a book to learn how to fly. She just needs friendship and some confidence.

She thinks of her wings as part of her body and allows them to spread out slowly.

Twilight never thought that she would be so happy to see Discord. It truly has been some time. "Hey, you," she chirped. "How have you been?"
