Hi, I'm Frightzi, but please call me Fritzi. This account will be solely focused on the warrior cats books and mostly on OC Clans/Stories/Cats, like CootClan, a Clan made with the game ClanGen. I've been playing it for a few months now and always wanted to do one of those 'One Year Challanges' I kept seeing on Youtube but never knew how. Until now!
This account is heavily inspired by Sunrisestar's ClanGen series' on Youtube as well as @doobledabbadoo's Roar from the Rumble. So this is by no means my original Idea. I just really liked the concept and wanted to do it for my own Clan. I am still working things out so it might turn into something more story heavy later on.
Orientation for CootClan (DISCONTINUED):
The Founders
History and General Information
(this pinned post is still a work in progress as I work on this blog/account so things might and will change)
My CootClan comic/whatever it is I am doing is officially being decontinued by me do to, 1. All of my ClanGen saves habe been wiped by something (I don't know what) and that includes CootClan sadly and 2. I have lost motivation for it long ago.
The wipe was just the nail in the coffin. I am sorry.
I uploaded my first ever Youtube Video! Its a One Year ClanGen Speedpaint. I am currently working on a second part for Year too but am taking it easy as to not burn myself out. The Cootclan Comic has been put on hiatus for the foreseeable future, I am not sure when I will continue with it.
Both Rockpaw and CInderpaw receive their full warrior names in the first few moons in their new home, having proven themselves on multiple occasions on the journey into their new home. Newly named Rockrumble and Cindersky are eager to prove themselves to their Clan and tag along with the Deputy on a patrol.
Where does CootClan live? Where did they even come from? And how do they got along with their neighbors? All of that will be answered here.
The formation of this post is heavily based on Raggedflight's Warrior Cats Detailed Clan Generator. I did use it in the beginning when I made CootClan on ClanGen but I changed it as I saw fit with the story. So Credits to Raggedflight and their Generator.
(This post will change and be updated in the future as I continue to play and develop CootClan)
Territroy:
CootClan’s Territory sits by a lake, fed by a waterfall flowing down from a cliff side. The Territory includes the lake, a good chunk of forest around it and the cliff from which the waterfall falls.
Camp:
The Camp sits right by the lake’s edge near a shallow portion. It is surrounded by shrubs and high grass, shielding it from unwanted eyes. The dens consist of bushes, hollows in the ground, a hollowed out stump and the roots from surrounding trees. The leader speaks from a tree stump, in which they also sleep.
Landmarks:
Rushing Cliff - A cliff side from which a waterfall rushes into the Lake.
Rocky Field - A flat field within the forest covered in rocks, some big and flat others small and spiky.
Night Cave - A large cavern in the side of the cliff.
StarClan Meeting Place - The Starry Pond, a small pond sitting in the middle of a clearing illuminated by the stars and the moon every night. Its the StarClan meeting place for all 4 Clans.
Clans' Gathering Place - A sandy clearing bellow the tallest surrounding cliff, bordering all 4 Clans. The Leaders sit and speak from a big fallen log.
Other Cats:
Neighboring Clans: ScrubClan, GuppyClan, MistClan
Relations With Cats Outside of the Clans: CootClan is natural towards outsiders and respectful towards the other Clans.
Beliefs:
CootClan believes and trusts in StarClan but also acknowledge the existence of the Dark Forest. They listen to their ancestors and take their advice when needed. But, they also trust their own intuition, not blindly relaying on the word of the dead.
Clan Meeting Call:
"Let all cats old enough to fight their own battles and hunt their own prey gather beneath the Leader's stump!"
Traditions:
Kits are taught how to swim at a very young age in the shallows by the Camp.
Apprentices that are made warriors must spend the night after their naming ceremony atop the cliff where the waterfall rushes down, to watch over their entire Territory in one night.
History:
Clan Age: 12 moons (current)
Founding:
CootClan was founded by Wrenstar (Wrensight then), when his old Clan dispersed after being chased out of their old territory. He, together with his old Mentor Reedswipe and Tulipdapple who had known Wrensight since they where apprentices, traveled beyond their territory in hope to find a new place to live or even find a new Clan to join. After moons of traveling they took in Greentuft who left her original Clan after being mistreated there even though she took up the mantel of medicine cat when the old one passed without an apprentice left behind. Later on the trio consisting of Rock-, Loach-, and CInderpaw who where at that point young loners trying to survive together, ran into the traveling Clan Cats and where taken in by them after asking to join.
On a fateful day Wrensight was chasing a Coot along a river when he almost tumbled down a cliff side after the bird took off as it reached a waterfall. That’s when he spotted the lake and decided that it would be a good place to settle the Clan. The group had a vote and decided that Wrensight should become leader. He did so with Greentuft’s assistance after she had a dream about the Starry Pond. He named the Clan in honor of the bird that led him to their new home.
The Founders are the Cats that first settled by the Lake's shoreline and founded CootClan. The Founding history will be a different post.
Leader:
Starting off, there is Wrenstar, originally Wrensight. A long-furred, unusually spotted dark brown and white tom-cat with dark blue eyes. He is a cold and generally distant cat. A lot of responsibility rests on the young tom's shoulders and he refuses to let it crush him. He worries for the future but also knows to not doubt his Clan. Despite his fluffy fur, he is rather lanky and agile.
Rockpaw was his Apprentice.
Deputy:
Reedswipe is CootClan's reliable and steadfast Deputy. A light brown tabby she-cat with yellow eyes. She once was Wrenstar's Mentor and is incredibly proud of her former apprentice turned leader. She's always by his side, giving him both comfort and advice should he need it. She takes her role very serious and is the first to rise and the last to fall asleep.
Loachpaw was her Apprentice.
Medicine Cat:
CootClan's Medicine Cat is Greentuft. A long furred silver and white she-cat with emerald eyes. She wasn't always a medicine cat but learned quickly when it was needed. Now, she has fully embraced the role. However, when an extra warrior is needed, she will jump in to help her young Clan out in any way she can.
Warrior:
Tulipdapple was the only warrior for quite a while, yes sure they had a medicine cat that could hunt and a deputy giving it her all, but when they and Wrenstar where busy, it fell to Tulipdapple to take care of things. She would train the apprentices when Wrenstar and Reedswipe where busy, guard the camp and mark territory. She didn't mind, it gave her more time to explore. She's a long-furred unusually spotted dark ginger she-cat with lavender eyes.
Cinderpaw was her Apprentice.
Apprentices:
Rockpaw is the oldest of the trio of Apprentices by 1 Moon and acts like it too. He's a golden tabby tom with yellow eyes. He's quite talkative and was the defacto leader of his trio before they joined CootClan. He prides himself on being taught by the Leader himself and his big goals for his future.
Loachpaw is the biggest of the three. A long-furred black tabby tom with sunlit eyes. Despite his size he's a gentle soul, enjoying the small things like a nice breeze or a quick snack with his friends. Though he'd never admit it to Rockpaw, he is incredibly thankful to have joined a Clan, not thinking that they'd have made it out in the wild alone.
Lastly there's Cinderpaw. An unusually dappled dark ginger tom. He's a bit on the quieter side but should not be underestimated. He'll often take a step back and let his friends make decisions for him, douting his own skills. This frustrates not only his fellow apprentices but also his mentor, Tulipdapple. Rockpaw often jokes that CInderpaw would ask his prey's permission before catching them.
