Im 21! And here are some things i love :)
As more things happen ill add stuff to this intro! But i hope you guys enjoy my 𝕭𝖔𝖌 𝕭𝖑𝖔𝖌!
Most of what i aim to do on this blog, is write and tell stories from my WIP book, the Legend of Penndathyl - Hero of Cundryth. Ill post bits from the book and even little bits of lore i want to share with you guys !!
Apart from that, ill probably just be a goofy guy reposting and replying to things that make me chuckle (chortle, even)

The Battle of Howydowyr - Recounted by Laird Evigir and written by scribe Dafyd Haymunsson
"The battle was terrible. Howydowyr is on paper the perfect battleground. Its mostly flat with some very small hills which meant it was mostly, a decent place for battle as the enemy cant get much against you. Which was our failing too but we had a larger more experienced army"
"I believe this was the third battle during the civil war in Penndathyl and Laird Huldrid was coming up with more cunning techniques which we too, quickly adapted too. The first was trenches which she used in order to slow foot soldiers and more importantly, our cavalry. We, changed the design slightly by mounting catapults in our trenches and hiding ourselves as we aimed and armed them."
"What we didnt think about, which im sure Huldrid didnt either, was what would happen when it rained and more importantly, when we run out of food and cannonballs. We of course soon found out. Our battlements were soaked and unusable even if we had ammo and our trenches were now, essentially rivers. This drove all of us out of our hiding holes and onto the slippery muddy plains. This was the first time i think in 3 weeks we truly saw eachother. It took a minute before either side charged at eachother but when we did, the clash was tremendous"
"Some, whilst running had the unfortunate luck to slip. Most who slipped were crushed to death in the frenzy. The fight lasted 5 hours and it was harsh but well fought. We drove them back to their trenches but with each inch they give the more desperate they fought. One man, who had lost his arm from what i assume was a sword was biting another before being cut down not of course, before leaving the lethal bite in the mans throat. Some in the battle were even crying for their home and wives, some bleeding and dying on the floor screaming for their mothers to come get them."
"The fighting finally ended when Laird Huldrid had found herself alone in the midst of my mine and was forced to submit and surrender. Finally 3 horrible weeks had come to an end. We went with 20,000 men and by the end left with 12,000. Most dying in the final 5 hours."
"That was the hardest part, the end where we had to burn the bodies to stave off evil spirits who wished to possess and do harm with the fallen. Some were very young men whom id recognised when they first joined the army full of life and excitement for a new adventure and put down the rebellious counties. Two were my friends, Laird Adrinir and Laird Luffsson"
"Huldrid was taken to then, High Laird Coimllach who is now King Coimllach of course. Her trial was not long and she was swiftly sent to be executed and her head sent to the other Lairds as a message. It worked somewhat, with two Lairds coming to Coimllach and begging for forgiveness. But Huldrids sister, Alysia took it harshly and had amassed an army and even caused heretical acts siding with our enemies outside of Penndathyl. She tossed aside our sacred names and terms and called herself Duchess Alysiana the First. I was there for that battle too."

First, the birds woke. They sing their merry tunes which rattle through the woodland that surrounded the gentle village of hendridar.
Next, the farmers wake and wander through the streets offering each other quiet 'how do's' as they pass by in the street. Some going to the baker who by this time will have started her ovens and be half way through the first batch of honey rolls.
The sweet smell rolling through the streets and into homes uninvited but always a welcome guest. Then of course the sun, now, climbs his way over the trees and wishes his love the moon a good night in their brief encounter as she settles comfortably under the horizon as her blanket.
Soon, the children wake up and it is now their turn to make their way to the baker who is ready for them, carefully counting out the exact amount of rolls for the children so none are left without. Their cheerful chatter always heard just before they turned the corner to the small bakery.
Finally, to officially bring in the new morning the church on the highest hill rang out. Now, the birds who had been doing a solo were finally joined in tune with the sound of people walking through the village on their daily routines.
i love tiktok bc i’ll occasionally get videos like this with low likes and low views of guys tryna be like deep sad content bloggers and hes doing push ups in the rain to sad music and all i can think about is how many takes it took to get this or how he probably awkwardly slipped and shuffled around getting up to hit the stop recording button after he was done doing 4 pushups max for the video
Fuck me I love art. Real art. I love seeing the final result of someone's hard work put into something. The fact someone had the idea to make something and then made it is beautiful.
Without art and the beautiful people who make art, this world would be colourless and expressionless.
Something i see sometimes that interests me and also in some ways, saddens me, is the fact many people who write have massive plans where in which what theyre writing will turn into a franchise.
This only saddens me not because people are excited for the thing theyre making but because of massive pressure they put themselves under in order to meet some kind of target that in many ways, dont actually exist.
I include myself in this as i often will talk myself into thinking "i do not have enough lore for my world. Tolkien wrote a whole world of different cultures and i cant do one" which is annoying because im being to hard on myself as are, many other people who want to write.
When youre proud of a story and what its telling youll naturally find branches in which to expand in some new way whether thats some lore and world building or, another chapter of your book. Some people write fast and others write slowly but it doesnt matter how long it takes you as long as youve got something youre proud of.
People when writing focus too much on what it is the story will become not what it is now. Life is the same, youre thinking of now because it is here but worry about what is to come but that part, you will write another day. The page youre writing is for today, tomorrow is the next and maybe by the end of the week, month or year, the chapter is finished.
The idea's people have for wanting to make a large book franchise with several books are awesome but focus on the one story for now. You can plan and plan and plan for all of them but over time, the characters you make change and evolve freely. A loose idea of where you want thr characters to go is great but deciding exactly how could be hard as you may come up with a new idea you like but have already, confined yourself into a box.
Writing shouldnt feel like a chore. Its art, and just like a pencil to a paper when you sketch you allow yourself to adjust and rub out lines you want to change.

I am skipping your ads as fast as I can. I'm skipping past your sponsor read. I'm muting the tv. I'm muting the tab. If they get too annoying I will simply stop trying to watch.
If advertisers can use every manipulative trick in the book to get me to buy their product, I am fully within my rights to do everything I can on my end to make their job impossible
When i play video games, i usually have a youtube video on in the background. Recently, ive been watching this guy called "dazzreviews" who covers films and reviews them.
I swear its like every 5 or 6 minutes, theres a new advert. And ill be watching his 2-3 hour long videos. Whether this is him putting on the adverts himself or youtube going "ahh lad grand ill make money off of that" i dont know. But it happens so often, that i actually have started being able to talk along with the adverts
Whats even more annoying is that he himself does this "youve reached the halfway point of this video please like snd subscribe" which breaks up the thing hes talking about terribly.
And its not just his videos but any that arent demonetised. Emkay, every 5 minutes 3 adverts all at *least* 30 seconds long. Its annoying. And dont even get ME STARTED on the spotify podcasts.
Ill listen to some chuckle sandwhich and immediately bam, advert. 10 minutes in, another advert that is so fuuuuuuckinggggg loooooooongggggg. And whats more, is that the adverts are included INTO THE DURATION TIME OF THE PODCAST. So its like cool 1hr podcast when really its like 40 minutes and the rest are all the adverts combined.
Everywhere is just becoming another form of cable television again and it is annoying. The sites we started to use became popular because cable TV wasnt viable anymore and now that all tbede companies have us they just go "lol we sre essentially cable TV again.. wanna pay more to not see adverts??? Heres our new tier system!!!"
Or "nooo you cant use adblock.... but pay us a subscription fee and then you basically have adblock!!!!". I genuinely believe that our attention spans are fine but we simply turn off faster when adverts are in the way. I tried watching a show on All 4 the other day and it felt like for the amount time i spent actually watching the show, it was matched with adverts.
