TADC PROBABLY NOT HOT TAKE BUT WHATEVER:
I genuinely think the entirety of episode 7 should’ve been scrapped and replaced with something character related.
TADC has always been set up to be character driven story, which was outright said by gooseworx, and everything that happened in episode 7 was completely useless to the plot or characters because they genuinely didn’t gaf the next episode (they did care for a little bit, but their moping got interrupted by Caine)
Sometimes things don’t have to be explained. The whole plot with C&A doesn’t have to be there/ be as important as they tried to set it up as, it should’ve only been relevant for a Caine related episode, which is NOT what episode 7 is. C&A could’ve stayed mysterious, and unknown with no issue, because it wouldn’t take away from the story and theme. (or at least what the story was SUPPOSED to be) Wasting a whole episode on Abel and lore about Scratch, an irrelevant character (yes I will die on that statement) with zero voice lines and 5 seconds of screen time was a very bad decision.
Stuff like this doesn’t need big focus in character driven stories, as long as the CHARACTERS can make up for it, which a lot of them don’t because of lack of screen time due to the horrid episode 7. I just think it’s time badly spent, on a story that just doesn’t need a big mystery, and is only detracted by it in the end because it’s never paid off.
