Occidozyga laevis, or the common puddle frog, is a very small species native to peninsular Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Borneo, the Philippines, and a handful of nearby islands. These frogs inhabit tropical lowland forests, preferring areas by shallow water. This specimen was spotted in the Philippines by photographer Pierre Fidenci.

An unusually colored, sub-adult American bullfrog [Lithobates catesbeianus] found in Butte County, California. This specimen likely has melanism, a pigment variation that results in an unusual amount of dark-colored melanin in the skin. This unique trait can be found in many different species of organism.
