This  blog  is  private,  meaning  I  will  only  write  with  mutuals.  Sometimes,  I  throw  out  opens  and  tag  them  for  all  who  follow  me  to  interact  with  my  character,  but  otherwise  I  stick  to  mutuals  only.  I  don't  follow  for  follow,  and  am  selective  in  who  I  follow.  If  I  follow  you,  then  I  think  our  writing  can  mesh  well  and  I'm  curious  how  our  muses'  might  interact.  Please  take  no  offense  if  I  don't  follow  you  back  after  a  week;  it  means  I'm  not  likely  to.

please  understand;  Fiction  =/=  Reality.  What  my  muse  thinks  of  yours,  does  not  equate  to  what  I,  personally,  think  of  you.  And  in  that  same  both,  what  I  think  of  you  does  not  equate  to  what  my  muse  thinks  of  your  muse.  The  two  are  completely  separate,  and  what  happens  in  role  play  stays  in  role  play.

Please  do  not  rush  me  for  replies.  My  life  is  busy  with  a  full  time  job,  and  there  are  other  hobbies  I  have  as  well.  Reminders  are  fine,  but  do  not  rush  it.

I  am  someone  that  does  love  to  plot;  but  to  be  honest,  the  best  way  to  interact  with  me  is  through  memes.  Especially  for  our  first  interaction.

Shipping  isn't  the  main  thing  I  come  here  for.  I  honestly  just  wanna  write  the  character  I  love  and  adore.  We're  open  to  ships,  but  it  is  not  prioritized.  Do  not  push  ships  on  me.  And  if  we  are  going  to  ship,  please  understand  I  prefer  to  have  written  quite  a  bit  on  top  of  having  chemistry  and  dynamic  between  our  characters.

That being said, if I am active on Tumblr today, it'll be here, my varka ( @boreaswind ), my Kaeya ( @glacieswaltz ), and my Nicole ( @angelichex ). I likely won't be-but still, just so you know. As you saw in the post I reblogged, Aisuru and I will be mainly focusing on ZZZ's story! 3.0 dropped, and we're locked in basically.

( Shan and I are doing the last bit of ZZZ's patch story from last patch and then also getting done with 3.0 as well, so I doubt I'll be on tumblr much today given it's a total of like... 5ish hours or so of story we need to view and discuss and stuff. So I want to mainly focus on notetaking bc you know. Big lore nerd in general + taking notes on muses. )

❝ ...No. ❞ Ruby zoisites eye the male up and down, as he continues cleaning his blade collection that he currently has spread out upon the table.

    Oh.  He  was…  Breaking  through. Varka  just  hoped  he  hadn't  pushed  too  hard,  but  he  felt  like  he  needed  to  make  the  push.  If  anything,  at  the  very  least…  Lohen  wasn't  pushing  him  away.  He  could  just  sense  all  of  the  uneasiness  in  the  shorter  male  before  him.  Varka  thinks  long  &&  hard  before  acting  –  Finally  deciding  on  ACTION  instead  of  SPEAKING  to  start  with.

         He  slowly,  carefully  moves  to  wrap  his  arms  around  the  other  from  behind,  as  he  leans  down  to  rest  his  forehead  into  the  crook  of  Lohen's  neck  &&  shoulder.  Gingerly  he  tightens  his  arms  into  a  strong  holding  embrace,  as  he  just  takes  in  the  other's  scent,  committing  it  to  memory.  Seconds  fade  into  minutes,  before  Varka's  low  voice  is  heard.

                   ❝ I  want  you,  because  I  love  you.  It's  that  simple,  really.  I  don't  believe  there's  technically  a  real  rhyme  or  reason  we  fall  for  the  people  we  do.  As  for  if  I  really,  truly  want  you  –  Of  course.  I  don't  think  you  understand  how  much  I  love  &&  adore  you.  How  much  I  want  to  wake  up  to  you  next  to  me…  To  know  that  perhaps,  maybe,  just  maybe,  my  love  is  reciprocated.  I  want  to  see  you  smile  &&  laugh  &&  live.  I  want  to  cherish  you  for  the  rest  of  time,  until  the  winds  call  me  finally  home.  I'm  not  asking  for  you  to  understand  why  I  feel  the  way  I  do.  I'm  asking  you  to  just…  Accept  the  unknown.  To  understand  that  sometimes  you  can't  understand  everything  in  the  world  –  Especially  when  it  comes  to  the  hearts  of  men.  So…  Please,  Lohen…  Give  us  a  chance.  ❞

         Varka  just  hoped…  He  wasn't  fucking  this  all  up.

           𝐇𝐄  𝐅𝐄𝐋𝐓  𝐓𝐇𝐄  𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐅𝐓  𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌  𝐁𝐄𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐃  𝐇𝐈𝐌,  𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐃  𝐇𝐈𝐌  𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐂𝐇  𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍  𝐂𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐄𝐑.  𝐓𝐇𝐄  𝐌𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓  𝐇𝐈𝐒  𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐒  𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐄  𝐀𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃  𝐇𝐈𝐌,  𝐋𝐎𝐇𝐄𝐍'𝐒  𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐑𝐄  𝐁𝐎𝐃𝐘  𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐅𝐅𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐃.  At  first,  he  did  want  to  push  away  from  the  blond--but  his  hold  tightens,  and  his  head  rested  in  the  crook  of  his  neck  and  shoulder…a  deep  inhale  heard.  As  if  he  was  breathing  in  his  scent.  Fingers  twitched--the  blade  that  had  been  somewhat  forgotten  in  his  hand  nearly  dropping…but  he  tightens  his  grip  upon  it.  Free  hand,  meanwhile…rises  up--resting  upon  the  scarred  arm  of  the  Grand  Master.

Shoulders,  in  this  moment,  shaking.

           ❝  …Even  if  I  do  slip  and  fall,  Varka?  ❞  He  questions,  ruby  zoisites  now  on  his  blade  in  his  hand.  He  nearly  did,  after  all.  What  if,  one  day,  he  succeeds--and  succumbs?  Will  that  old  wolf  still  want  him?  Still  try  to  pull  him  from  the  depths  of  him  drowning?

…..knowing  him,  probably.

           ❝  …Varka,  I…  ❞  He  pauses  once  more.  Did  he  even  know  what  it  was  like,  to  love  someone?  In  this  lighting?  He  supposed….if  he  thought  long  enough  about  it,  he  did  love  the  blond.  When  he  had  apparently  fallen  for  the  man…he  didn't  know.  But  when  he  thought  about  it-the  idea  of  something  or  someone  felling  the  blond…boiled  his  blood.  The  idea  of  him  knowing  the  shorter  male  inside  and  out  both  irritated  him  and  comforted  him.  Especially  when  he  made  certain  no  one  could  ever  read  him…yet…here  he  was. 

Being  vulnerable  in  front  of  this  man.  Damn  these  mortal  emotions.

           ❝  ….Your  feelings  are…accepted.  And…returned,  to  the  best  of  my  abilities.  You  know  I  don't  properly…understand,  this.  I  can't  say  I  ever  will….but  you  went  into  this  already  knowing  that.  If  you're  willing  to  accept  that,  there's  no  point  in  fighting  you…nor  myself.  ❞

    He  could  almost  hear  the sound  of  the  walls  slowly  crumbling  down  around  the  younger  knight.  Had…  Varka  really  made  that  much  of  an  impact  with  his  words?  Well,  shit.  He…  Wouldn't  let  him  pull  away.  If  there  was  a  chance  for  Lohen  to  finally  let  him  in,  so  be  it.  He'd  tear  the  walls  down  brick  by  brick  with  his  own  bare  hands  if  he  had  to.

                 ❝ Because  first  of  all  –  Everyone  deserves  a  chance  at  happiness.  Lohen  you  haven't  really  done  anything  that  would  forfeit  such  a  right  to  you…  You  are  still  human.  You  are  still  a  good  person.  Sure  you  want  to  continuously  hone  yourself  more  on  the  battlefield,  but  you  aren't  using  that  power  for  malicious  intent.  You  don't  harm  the  innocent,  you  protect  them.  Even  if  some  people  think  that  your  ways  are  unbecoming…  Not  everything  in  this  world  is  black  &&  white.  Sometimes  to  save  many,  blood  has  to  be  spilled.  You  &&  I  both  understand  that  very  well.  In  an  ideal  world,  we  wouldn't  have  to.  But  this  damn  world  is  far  from  it.     ❞

    Varka takes a chance now, he standing up himself to go stand behind the other, a hand reaching out to gently touch his middle back.  Testing  the  waters.  Would  he  push  him  away?  Would  he  potentially  stab  him?  He'd  take  it  all,  he  just…  Wanted  contact.

                   ❝ Perhaps  I'm  biased  on  top  of  it  all,  because  my  heart  is  in  this  romantically…  But  I  want  you,  Lohen.  I  want  you  to  be  mine…  Not  some  one  time  deal  or  anything  like  that.  You  know  me…  I'm  a  serious  man  when  it  comes  to  matters  of  the  heart.  I  genuinely  want  to  court  you…  I  want  to  call  you  my  boyfriend  &&  I'll  be  honest…  Someday  my  husband  when  that  line  is  finally  crossed.  I  have  every  intent  to  keep  you  safe  &&  sound.  Not  that  you  really  need  it  of  course,  just  someone  to  cover  your  blind  spots.  Just…  Lohen  if  you  push  me  away,  let  it  be  because  you  don't  actually  view  me  in  that  light.  I  promise  I  won't  chain  you  down  or  force  you  to  change  –  But  I  think  you  already  know  that.  I  want  you,  for  YOU.  Because  the  you  of  now  is  the  person  I  fell  in  love  with  &&  I  love  you  no  matter  how  the  years  wear  &&  change  us  both.   ❞

Those  who  had  captured  him  and  the  other  children  that  unfortunate  night.

            Still.  It's  a  very  foreign  touch…and  Lohen  is  uncertain  if  he  should  push  the  other  away,  or  let  him  near.  Why  did  he  want  to  be  near  him?  He  stated  Lohen  deserved  a  chance  at  happiness…and  somewhere,  in  the  back  of  his  hazy  mind--maybe  that  was  true.  It  wasn't  like  he  was  the  worst  thing  alive--that  was  Dottore….though,  according  to  the  honorary  knight  and  others-he  was  finally  where  he  belonged,  too. 

Another  enemy  he  couldn't  have  faltered…but  honestly?  Good  riddance.

           ❝  ….I…don't  know  what  to  do  with  you,  Varka.  ❞  Comes  his  quiet,  barely  there  response.  He  didn't  know  how  to  respond,  because  his  idea  of  love…what  love?  He  supposed  his  parents  certainly  did  love  and  adore  him.  Constantly  hoping  their  son  wouldn't  be  affected  by  the  horrors  he  had  nearly  been  apart  of.  Hoping  for  him  to  just  be  a  ‘normal’  boy. 

            Was  that  what  love  meant?  Pretending  to  not  see  the  trauma  inflicted?  If  that  was  truly  the  case,  or  what  it  would  turn  to,  then  he  wanted  nothing  of  it.  Yet…Varka….pledged  acceptance.  Pledged  love,  despite  how  he  is.  Despite  what  he  had  done.  Despite  the  fact  that  he  knew  there  was  no  going  back.  He  knew  what  caused  it--but  he  didn't  bury  it.  He  accepted  his  past…and  his  present. 

The  cold,  frigid  ice  cracks  just  a  little  deeper. 

          ❝  …  ❞  The  worst  part?  Is  that  the  greenette  knew  the  other  was  serious.  He  knew  he'd  hold  onto  his  vows  and  promises.  It  didn't  matter  how  old  they  grew-nothing  about  this  was  an  empty  promise  or  bunch  of  words.

And  that's  what  scared  him.

           ❝  I  will…never  understand  why  you  would  fall  for  someone  like  me.  You're  right;  People  find  my  methods…unbecoming.  Unorthodox.  Unsavory.  Unnecessary.  Nothing  about  it  is  honorary  or  ‘normal’…not  like  how  they  wanted  it  to  be,  anyway.  ❞  The  bitter  words  leave  him  before  he  can  stop  them--not  that  it  mattered.  Since  when  could  he  hide  anything  from  the  wolf  behind  him?

           ❝  Are  you  sure  you  want  me?  This  non-normal  body  and  mind  and  soul?  ❞  He  doesn't  face  him  as  he  asks  this.  There's  no  physical  response--just  his  words,  speaking  to  the  man  behind  him….

Trying  so  hard  to  keep  everything  under  control.

    A  breath  he  didn't  realize he  had  been  holding  in  releases.  He  wasn't  being  combative.  He  was  just  talking.  Varka  would  take  that…  It  was  more  than  what  he  expected  from  the  other.  At  Lohen's  inquiry  he..  Did  have  a  point.  Whose  memories  was  it?  Probably  Theodore's,  but…  Varka  could  still  easily  see  it  from  Lohen's  point  of  view  due  to  the  report.

         A  child  who  had  snapped,  lashing  out  at  those  who  had  dared  to  attempt  to  use  him.  &&  his  father…  Why  hadn't  he  raised  a  hand  to  try  to  stop  it?  He  understood  being  peaceful  &&  all  that,  but  Varka  would  have  fought  to  make  sure  that  his  family  was  safe.  There  was  a  time  to  be  a  pacifist  &&  a  time  to  take  to  arms.

    But  ah…  He  shouldn't  judge  another  man's  actions.  He  knew  that  Lohen's  parents  did  love  him  dearly…  He  just  wished  things  would  have  turned  out  differently  for  everyone  involved  in  this  whole  damn  mess.

                 ❝ You're  right.  They're  probably  not  yours,  but  it  doesn't  change  the  fact  that  what  I  did  glimpse  was  fucked  up.  ❞

    He  clears  his  throat  again  at  the  fact  of  being  called  out  for  omitting  details…  Yeah  that  wouldn't  slide.  He  knew  it  wouldn't,  here  it  was.  Should  he  come  completely  clean?  Or  would  it  just  make  things  worse?  Varka  wasn't  sure… 

         Ah,  damn…  He  really  wished  he  would  have  gone  over  this  a  bit  more  with  Kaeya  the  day  before,  but  he  hadn't  manage  to  entertain  every  possibility. 

                 ❝ But…  That  aside.  If  you're  going  to  call  me  out  on  emitting  details,  I'll  just  be  upfront  &&  honest.  I  love  you.  I  don't  expect  you  to  reciprocate  it.  I  expect  nothing  from  this  at  all..  But  the  truth  is  out  there.  Take  it  or  leave  it,  it's  not  going  to  change  the  fact  that  I  love  you  all  the  same.  ❞

    Well.  That  was  out  there  now…

                  ❝ As  for  what  happened…  Well.  You  did  what  you  had  every  right  to  do.  You  defended  yourself  &&  the  victims  around  you.  You  then  honed  yourself  into  the  precise  weapon  you  are  today…  But  I  just  want  you  to  remember  that  you  are  still  human,  Lohen.  You  don't  have  to  always  be  sharpening  the  blade…  I'm  not  asking  you  to  be  social  or  anything,  I  know  that's  not  your  style.  I  just…  I  just  hope  you  can  find  joy  in  things  off  the  battlefield.  I  just…  I  guess  this  old  wolf  is  just  wanting  you  to  be…  Happy.  As…  Possibly  sappy  as  that  might  sound  to  your  ears.  ❞

The  pacifist  life  just  wasn't  for  him.  Never  has  been.

Funny  thought,  if  he  were  anyone  else.

            The  other  clears  his  throat--ruby  zoisite  hues  watching  him…wondering  if  he  was  going  to  address  the  horse  in  the  room,  or  leave  it  be….

Only  to  hear  those  three  little  words.

            Three  little  words  that  held  so  much  meaning.  So  much  weight  to  them.  The  only  time  Lohen  himself  had  heard  of  them,  was  from  his  family.  Mother  and  father  both--even  if  father…could  barely  look  at  him  after  what  had  happened.  Yet  so  desperately  clung  to  his  son's  ‘innocence’.  Hoping  he'd  just  be  a  normal  little  boy  who  liked  to  play  with  toys  and  such.  Not  a  killing  machine  who  didn't  want  to  feel  weak.

            There's  a  distinct  pause,  his  knife  stilling  in  his  hand.  He…wasn't  expecting  him  to  reciprocate,  but  that…didn't  quite  ease  his  feelings  of  conflict.  Lohen…

Couldn't  out  right  stated  he  didn't  feel  something.

           ❝  …You're  right.  You  do  sound  incredibly  sappy  in  this  moment.  ❞  He  states,  standing  from  his  spot  on  the  sofa  and  walking  forward--facing  the  bookshelf  on  the  opposite  wall,  unable  to  look  at  the  taller  blond.  Him?  Happy?  Being  loved?  Why?  Why  did  he  want  these  things  for  the  greenette?  Why  did  he  think  he  was  worth  such?  Why  did  he  want  to  go  through  all  this  for  him?  Shouldn't  he  be….disgusted  with  what  he  had  committed?  Or  rather,  tried  to?  Sure,  he  corrected  his  own  mistake--but  it  made  no  difference.  It  was  there.  It  was  known.  It  was  seen.

            So  too,  was  his  weakness….a  day  he  could  still  recall  as  if  it  were  yesterday.  Despite  the  fact  that  it's  been  years  since  that  incident.  A  day  he  hated  and  never  wished  to  go  back  to…only  to  then  do  such  with  Rerir…and  his  mistakes.  So…to  hear  Varka  state  such…completely  contradicts  with  his  innermost  feelings,  especially  in  this  moment.  How  else  was  he  to  keep  himself  safe?  There  was  no  one  else…

….At  least.  That's  what  he  thought.

           ❝  ….I….don't  understand  why  you  want  such  for  me..someone  like  me  isn't….  ❞  He  starts  out,  tone  measured--or  trying  to  be…but  truth  be  told;  He…could  only  hold  for  so  long.  Varka  had  broken  past  a  wall  he  didn't  think  anyone  would  try  for.  A  wall  he  built  explicitly  for  situations  like  this.  Yet…here  the  grandmaster  was…

             ❛  …Isn't  worth  it….especially  not  with  you.  Of  all  people….  ❜  Is  the  unfinished  statement  that  nearly  leaves  his  lips,  but  he  keeps  them  closed--biting  on  the  bottom  one  as  he  mulls  over  how  to  respond.  How  did  he  respond  to  this?  Should  he?  Ah  but…if  he  lied,  Varka  would  know  immediately. 

He  knew  him  too  well.  and…the  thought  scared  him,  truthfully.

    Another  heavy  sigh  as  the  blond debates  how  to  even  properly  start  this.  At  least  Lohen  wasn't  resisting  him  at  the  moment  –  Not  that  he  really  could  to  begin  with.  He  had  no  where  to  go  &&  Varka  didn't  think  he  was  going  to  attempt  any  funny  business  to  avoid  this  conversation.

         The  facts…  Didn't  exactly  make  it  easier,  however.

    Varka  moves  to  carefully  seat  himself  on  the  end  of  the  couch,  still  giving  Lohen  as  much  room  as  possible,  not  wanting  to  crowd  him.

    Hands  tighten  into  fists,  before  he  relaxes  them,  resting  them  on  top  of  his  legs,  an  index  finger  lightly  tapping  upon  it.

          Because  by  the  end  of  it  all,  the  child  that  was  Lohen  stood  among  bodies,  gaze  blank  and  looking  on. 

           ❝  And  are  you  certain  that  they're  mine?  I  remind  you,  there's  more  than  one  victim  in  this  whole  mess.  Theodore  was  more  likely  to  be  influenced  to  have  a  bit  of  a…memory  leak,  I  suppose  is  what  we'll  call  that.  ❞  Yet,  there's  no  venom  to  his  tone.  He  wasn't  accusing  Varka  of  being  wrong--there's  no  hint  of  emotions  at  all,  in  fact.  He  merely  asked…as  ruby  zoisite  hues  looked  to  the  blond  fully,  taking  in  his  form.  The  way  his  brows  furrowed;  How  his  hands  were  curling  and  uncurling,  index  finger  tapping.  He  had  more  to  say.

          He  lets  the  other  continue--not  interrupting  him  at  all.  Though…he  had  certainly  noticed  Varka  hadn't  finished  what  he  wanted  to  say--or  rather,  it  felt  like  he  omitted  whatever  it  was  he  was  originally  going  to  state.  Lohen  debated  for  a  moment…and  then  decided-he  didn't  want  to  know.  He…didn't  think  he  could  take  whatever  would  come  out  of  his  mouth…not…not  if  he  thought  it  was  what  it  might  be. 

           ❛  Why  is  it  always  you  I  seem  to  have  this  ongoing  dance  of  whatever  the  fuck  this  is?  Anyone  else  wouldn't  give  me  the  time  of  day,  and  yet  here  you  are,  Varka….But  why?  Why?  ❜ 

He  didn't  understand.

           ❝  …I'm  not  sure  what  to  address  first;  your  attempt  at  omitting  something,  or…this  conversation  as  a  whole.  ❞  He  finally  states,  gaze  looking  away  from  the  grand  master  now.  What  did  he  say  to  that?  He  wasn't…he  wasn't  use  to  such  things  coming  to  him  of  all  people--and  it  being  genuine.  Even  with  Aether,  he's  surprised  the  other  stuck  around  despite  everything…  And  his  genuine,  yet  gentle,  push  for  talking  it  out…

           ❝  You  are….something  else.  ❞  His  voice,  however,  faltered  as  he  whispered  this.  The  calm,  bored  tone  he  was  previously  carrying  has  been  dropped  entirely;  If  Varka  listened,  there's…a  hint  of  something  deep.  Something…

           ❝  To  be  honest;  there's  nothing  to  talk  about.  Father  didn't  really  fight,  they  tried  to  experiment  on  us,  and  I  decided  to  break  a  few  of  their  bones.  What's  there  to  talk  about,  really?  ❞

His  tone  was  far  too  casual,  to  take  that  lightly.  Especially  since  his  knife  twirl  had  sped  up.

    He  hadn't  been  entirely  sure how  he  was  going  to  handle  this.  Post  everything  that  had  happened,  there  was  one  thing  that  had  kept  haunting  his  mind  –  What  had  happened  years  ago.  He  had  read  the  reports,  seen  the  aftermath..  Used  his  imagination  to  piece  together  all  of  the  unspoken  details.  But…  to  actually  SEE  the  memories  of  one  of  the  affected….  Who  had  only  been  a  CHILD  at  the  time  of  it  happening…

         Of  course  Lohen  had  grown  up  into  the  man  he  was  today.  Who  wouldn't  be  a  bit  fucked  up  from  all  of  that?  Yet…  As  he  stares  down  at  the  Vice  Captain  awaiting  his  decree…  He  found  it  hard  to  keep  in  his  title  at  the  moment…  Hadn't  Jean  already  chewed  his  ear  off  enough?  Hadn't  he  already  seen  the  potential  repercussions?

    Hadn't  the  loss  of  the  man  who  had  saved  him  been  enough  already?  Varka  found  himself  at  a  loss… 

                 ❝ Well...  You  are  to  train  with  me  personally  on  a  few  missions  to  verify  that  you  are  still  sound  enough  of  mind  &&  rational  decision  to  keep  your  position.  To  make  sure  you  conduct  yourself  with  honor  as  befitting  of  a  knight  of  your  caliber  &&  position.  ❞

    A  small  sigh…  He  just…  Wanted  to  talk  really.

                 ❝ But  the…  Real  reason  I'm  here  is  I  just…  Want  to  talk  to  you,  Lohen.  Not  as  your  Grand  Master,  but  as  me.  Just  Varka.  ❞

Ruby  zoisite  hues  study  him,  noticing  his  expression…and  how…unreadable  the  man  was  before  him.  Like  he  had  been  thinking  on  something  involving  the  shorter  of  the  two.  For  what?  What  was  there  to  think  about  in  regards  to  him?  If  he  was  losing  his  job,  he  lost  his  job  and  could  go  back  to  his  adventuring  ways.  Lohen…could  make  do  with  that.  He  didn't  deserve  the  position  of  captain  nor  the  title  of  ‘benevolent  knight’,  anyway. 

            A  deep  sigh  leaves  him,  he  continuing  to  twirl  his  blade…until  the  blond  started  to  speak  again.  His  blade  is  then  gripped  in  his  hand,  though--loosely--before  he  started  twirling  it  again.  So  he  had  to  train  with  him?  Guess  that  answers  that--he  hadn't  lost  his  position…rather,  he  hadn't  been  entirely  removed  from  his  job.  Of  course  there  was  still  ‘testing’  to  do.  Still  trust  to  be  doubted…it  was  expected.  He'd  be  more  surprised  if  there  wasn't  repercussions…and  he  doubted  that  was  the  end  of  it.  Not  with  how  the  Grand  Master  was  acting.

           ❝  …Heard  and  understood,  Grand  Master  sir.  Is  that  all?  ❞  The  sigh  leaving  the  other's  lips  told  him  no,  that  wasn't  all.  In  this  moment,  he  notices  his  gaze…the  shift  in  his  tone.  As  if  something  else  was  weighed  upon  him.  Before  the  greenette  speaks,  the  blond  speaks  up  once  more.  Lohen  pauses,  the  twirling  completely  stopping.  Talk  with  him  as  him?  About  what?  They  didn't  have  anything  to  talk  about…

            Unless….

           ❝  …As  yourself,  hm?  And  judging  by  your  tone  and  look…it's  not  just  some  lecture  about  what  I've  done  and  all  that,  I  take  it.  ❞  Less  a  question,  more  of  a  known  statement--Varka  could  read  the  smaller  male…and  Lohen  could  at  times  read  him.  Somehow  over  the  years  of  him  being  a  part  of  the  knights,  that  is  how  their  relation  had  grown…and  Lohen  wasn't  entirely  sure  if  he  liked  it  or  not.  Made  good  sparing  partner,  that  for  sure…but  at  times,  Varka…read  the  things  he  would  rather  he  didn't. 

            He  had  a  feeling  this  was  about  to  be  one  of  those  cases,  and  he  had  no  where  to  go.  The  question  is,  what  the  hell  did  he  read  out  of  him?  The  idea  of  it  is  enough  to  tense  his  form,  but  he  forces  himself  to  relax  once  more,  resuming  twirling  his  blade.  His  expression  otherwise  doesn't  change-not  a  smile,  but  not  necessarily  a  frown,  and  gaze  none  the  less  focused  on  the  tall  man.

           ❝  Not  like  I've  a  choice.  Go  on  then,  Varka…what  did  you  want  to  talk  about?  ❞
