Mars ( Ares ) and Venus ( Aphrodite ) Surprised by Vulcan ( Hephaestus ) 1827

In the Metamorphoses, the Roman author Ovid tells the story of how the lovers Venus and Mars were surprised by Venus's husband, Vulcan. Vulcan, a blacksmith, forged an invisible bronze net, which he secretly attached to Mars's bed. Other gods and goddesses also gather to witness and mock the adulterous couple. In this scene, Alexandre-Charles Guillemot (1786 - 1831),  depicts the moment when Vulcan is about to cast the net he has forged over the two lovers, Mars and Venus, trapping them in flagrante delicto for all to see.

This is actually a cool thing I know about!

In the wild capybaras live in large groups so naturally a female capybara will take care of not only her own offspring, but all of the other offspring in the group. So capybaras are super great mothers who will adopt pretty much anything and take care of it.

Lots of places that rescue different animals will give a group of baby animals to a capybara to raise if they have one.

They are just super calm animals so they’re naturally great at mothering or just existing in a group!
