There's been some confusion as to whether or not Pokemon sales are allowed on the site. We have a comment from Aequorin confirming: FR for Pokemon trades are not permitted!

PvP confirmed for Flightrising’s 4th anniversary. :-)

Flightrising players will:

be able to flight 1-on-1 matches with other players on their friends list that have an active party.

compare their losses to other friends.

challenge friends.

These assets are ancient relics of a pre-FR launch system/UI we ultimately didn’t go with! :) We’re definitely looking at our PVP systems as we continue to revamp Flight Rising as a whole, but I just didn’t want this to circulate as an expectation of something that’s coming.

Vistas: How They Work

There’s been some confusion on vistas. Here’s a quick breakdown on how they work.

A vista item is an item that can appear in your hoard and be sold/traded.

Clicking this item consumes the item (Boom, it’s gone! You used it! One time only!), applying the associated vista to your account permanently.

-That is, it’s a permanent OPTION. You can choose to use any vista that has been used on your account at any time.

Vistas can only be applied to your account once. IE: If you consumed a 3rd anniversary vista, you can’t consume/apply a second 3rd anniversary vista. To do so would be pointless - you already have the vista!

Change your displayed vista under Account Settings. Here’s what it looks like when you have more than one vista available:

Iridescent and Shimmer’s sheen is at incorrect brightness.

Underbelly covers additional areas in some breeds.

Fae Female Crystal and Facet have a rainbow lair at incorrect opacity.

Wait, if i apply the 3rd anniversary vista now and change it later to the axelotl one, can i change back to the 3rd anniversary vista at a later point again?

Vistas are permanently applied to your account and will never go away. So don’t worry! You can switch between all vistas you have applied with ease. They are changeable under your Account Settings.

i was digging around flight rising’s coding and i noticed that exalting is referred as exiling in the code

Don’t worry… you’re not exiling your dragons!   Legacy code. In alpha, there was no exalting or dominance. You could “delete” a dragon by exiling, but you got no rewards and couldn’t see them anymore. Based on feedback we received, we decided that since breeding was such a large part of the game, you should be rewarded for it. Earning money from your dragons should be because of a positive event, so exalting and dominance was born!

Last night, Undel posted a thread asking for the community’s opinion on the color scheme of (what appears to be) a future apparel release!  The thread was closed after a couple of hours.  Is there a news post on the horizon?

PSA: Don’t Buy Gems From Flight Rising (For Now)

There’s been a lingering issue of Paypal processing multiple fraudulent payments to ‘buy gems’ on your behalf- however, Flight Rising has NO CLUE this is happening, and you do not get gems but your account’s balance gets deducted anyway. 

This has hit two of my friends so far and it generally is a huge can of worms, so unless you want to risk your Paypal being compromised from these fake transactions, hold off on purchasing gems. If you suspect your Paypal has been compromised from this, file for fraud on the official Paypal site as well as send in a Contact Us with the FR staff to report this glitch.

As long as your Paypal password and computer you use for it are secure, it is fine to buy gems.

There are two types of Paypal issues that are reported to us.

Echeck “Double Payment”: On occasion we have players who pay with an echeck, which can take several days to “clear” before the money is sent to us. Sometimes this will cause a scare because when the money is sent, a player thinks they’ve been billed for a new purchase when they are actually seeing a new notification that their original purchase has cleared! This can be verified by double checking the transaction numbers on Paypal. If it’s the same number as your purchase from a few days earlier - that’s a delayed payment. All paypal transactions have unique ID, so this is fairly easy to check!

Gems don’t arrive within 24 hours of payment: Infrequently, gems don’t arrive within 24 hours of payment. To explain: All purchases and billing takes place entirely on Paypal. Then they send us a message saying “send gems to Account XXX!” If this notification fails to fire off or be received, we’ll show a failure in our logs and can manually check your transaction and correct it.

If you feel either of the above has happened, simply use contact us and we’ll look up your transaction to make sure that everything is okay. If you sent us any payment to us through Paypal, it will be logged on our Paypal account and logged on your Paypal account too! We can use your Paypal transaction ID to look any payment up to make sure that things are matching up, gems are delivered, and sort everything out!
