Our first GBM will centralize around Favianna’s PUSSY POWER philosophy!
Our fearless leader, Cecile Richards, sets the record straight on why the video released Tuesday is outrageous.
At VOX: Voices for Planned Parenthood at FSU we do not engage the opposition, instead, we lead by example and continue to spread our mission through our love and light. Join us in promoting the hashtags #IStandWithPP and #PPGeneration and tell us why YOU stand with Planned Parenthood. As always, thank you for your unwavering support in the face of these absurd claims. We appreciate your love and positivity at this moment more than ever! #IStandWithPP #PPGeneration
The EACH Woman Act, which stands for Equal Access to Abortion Coverage in Health Insurance would ensure that all federal healthcare programs cover abortions.
Protect and Support Survivors of Sexual Assault
The S.O.S Campus Act, led by Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA), Tim Kaine (D-VA), and Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) would require colleges and universities to ensure that an independent advocate is available to support survivors of sexual assault on every campus.
♥ The S.O.S Campus Act would ensure that all college and university sexual assault survivors, regardless of whether they choose to report their assault, have access to an independent to assist in navigating information on reporting an assault to law enforcement, emergency and follow-up medical services; medical forensic examinations; counseling; information on victim’s rights and legal services; and referrals to additional support services.
♥ At the survivors request, advocates would attend any institution-based proceeding related to the assault as a representative.
♥ Advocates would work to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of the survivor and any witnesses to a sexual assault.
♥ The measure would require campuses to conduct a public information campaign to inform students of their services, and train university staff to provide information to students about the advocacy program.
Support the Global Democracy Promotion Act and End the Global Gag Rule:
What is the Global Gag Rule: The Global Gag Rule is a U.S. health policy that prohibited funding to foreign aid organizations that provided abortion services. The Gag Rule was first imposed by the Reagan administration in 1984.
♥ The Global Democracy Promotion Act would block a future anti-women’s health President from reinstating the harmful global gag rule. The global gag rule, or Mexico City Policy, prohibits foreign organizations receiving U.S. international family planning assistance from providing information, referrals, or services for legal abortion or advocating the legalization of abortion in their country, even if these activities are supported solely with non-U.S. funds.
Protect Access to Women’s Health Care Protect Funding for the Title X Family Planning Program
Title X provides lifesaving preventive care to millions of women and is cost-effective.
♥ In 2013 alone, Title X health centers provided over 1 million pap tests, breast exams to 1.6 million women, and 6.8 million for sexually transmitted infections (STI’s), including nearly 1.2 million HIV tests.
♥ Title X programs also provides millions of people with access to birth control, helping to prevent more than 1 million unintended pregnancies each year.
♥ The Title X program offers preventative services to those most in need. 90% of Title X clients have income below 200% of the federal poverty level, and 63% are uninsured.
♥ For every public dollar invested in family planning, $7.09 is saved in Medicaid-related costs. That’s savings to both federal and state governments and taxpayers.
Planned Parenthood is proud to partner with the Title X Family Planning Program.
♥ Planned Parenthood health centers provide preventive care to approximately 1.5 million women served by the Title X Family Planning Program - roughly a third of the women are served by the program.
As Republicans push to defund Title X, it is common-sense that adequately funding Title X is necessary for successful implementation of health care reform. Without it, providers will be unable to meet the demands for health care in a reformed health care system.
We never want fear of pregnancy or STIs to get in the way of great sex, so if you’re using a barrier method, make sure you use it like the stone-cold birth control genius we know you can be.

This film uses comedy to explore the murky waters of an unaccepted pregnancy. Obvious child normalizes the topic of abortion through sheer realness, definitely a MUST see!
Activism is my rent for living on this planet.
Alice Walker
We had SO much fun tabling at the Women’s Student Union’s Luau event! We provided students with interactive games such as, can you guess which condom is which, and one of our favorites - the great condom race where students learn proper condom usage while racing an opponent for the timeliest application. Pillamena, our mascot even got in on the action!

Dr. Willie Parker, a courageous and powerful force within the fight for reproductive justice! We thank you Dr. Parker!
House Bill 633
We are so pleased to hear that HB633, which would mandate that a woman wait 24 hours to have a procedure AND make unnecessary visits to clinics has been temporarily postponed due to amazing men and women never giving up and making sure their voices are heard! For all our advocates who spoke against the bill, we thank you!

Hi all! My name is Gianna Bonner. I am currently a sophomore, double-majoring in Political Science and Women’s Studies. I am originally from Mount Dora, FL. I am a strong advocate for social and racial justice and I can talk about intersectionality and sexual health for days. I fight for reproductive rights because women are powerful and deserve to be respected and trusted without the interference of another individual, whether it be a man, woman, organization, or government official."
Say hello to our President, Kristin Sanders! Kristin is a first-year sophomore majoring in International Affairs with a minor in Women’s Studies. Her hopes and dreams include working as a CEO for Planned Parenthood Global (Africa) where she hopes to implement progressive policies and improve reproductive and sexual health for underprivileged and oppressed women. Kristin got her start in the reproductive justice movement as a member of the Broward County Youth Council where she helped advocate locally and nationally for Florida’s first ever all-inclusive, comprehensive, medically-accurate, and age appropriate sexual education curriculum that serves over 200,000 students. Kristin currently serves as a member of the Young Leadership Advisory Council, where she advises Planned Parenthood leadership and affiliates on campaigns and programs to ensure young people and young people of color are centered in decision-making processes as Planned Parenthood look towards building power long term. As a member of the YLAC squad, Kristin specializes in the Breaking Barriers committee which aims to improve race relations between Planned Parenthood and minority communities. She enjoys reading, animated movies, and raising hell.
