Advice to New Regressors
🍬 Set boundaries. It can be really easy to join a new community and assume certain things you normally wouldn’t be comfortable with are “normal” when the reality is that there is no normal
🍬 Ask yourself important questions. Why do you regress? What is important to you when you regress? Are there any things in particular that you are drawn to or repulsed by when you regress? By asking those things, you can establish a lot of important things related to your little space, such as the age/age range you regress to, any boundaries/triggers you might have specifically for your regression, and what you need from any possible caregiver.
🍬 Test the waters. Don’t be afraid to “try out” different ages, or little space related things if you find it hard to mentally gauge your own position. If you already have a caregiver, let them know that you would like to explore a bit so they can help you along the way.
🍬 Be honest with yourself and others (caregivers/friends/followers). You don’t have to be interested in things others are, and that’s okay. You shouldn’t have to fake liking things to be seen as a little by those around you. Being yourself truly and fully can help filter out the negative people that you may surround yourself with.
🍬 Take rejection with a grain of salt! Regression just isn’t for everyone and that’s alright. Their feelings do not invalidate yours, and you have every right to your feelings.
🍬 Take it slow. You may not want to plunge yourself headfirst into any communities or committed relationships immediately if you are not sure about your regression yet. It’s okay to waver, and it’s okay to be uncomfortable with certain things.
🍬 Extend your circle! Make little/regressor friends to help you feel more at ease and help you regress. They won’t be as judgmental, and they may be able to help advise you a bit along the way.
🍭 Remember: You are valid and your feelings are too! Regression is not weird, and is a very useful coping method for many. I love you and you are safe here!
