What a way to start the morning. (Taken with Instagram at Montauk Point State Park)

For those who don't know, there are major brush fires going on right now out east in the Coram/Brookhaven area. Over 75 departments have been battling the fires since this morning, and the fire is still not contained.

There have been close to 1000 firefighters out there through the course of the day, and it will continue well into tomorrow. Please keep them in your thoughts.

It would be my pleasure to give you a guided tour of our Island that you called a "regrettable" part of the United States of America. What would you like to see?

Would you like to visit Sagamore Hill, the home of our 26th President, Teddy Roosevelt? Maybe you'd like to stop in Huntington to visit the birthplace of one of this nation's most renowned poets, Walt Whitman.

Also, I'd love to show you the wonders of the North Shore, where F. Scott Fitzgerald got his inspiration to write the classic novel, The Great Gatsby. To top the tour off, It would be my honor to bring you to my hometown.

There, while enjoying a burger with fries and a milkshake from All-American, you can realize what a great place Long Island really is, and why you should think before speak on the Senate floor. Millions of people call this Island home, and I can almost guarantee you that we are more beneficial to this nation than your state of Arizona. With all due respect, of course.
