Dodge Spacevan, 1978. A van that had started out in 1960 as the Commer FC, a product of the Rootes Group. When Rootes became part of Chrysler Europe the Commer became a Dodge and soldiered on past the FC's 20th birthday until 1981. Apparently it was only demand from British Telecom and Royal Mail that had kept the Expressvan in production. Things got even more complicated after the break up of Chrysler Europe because Renault took over the the commercial division so the Spacevan ended its model life as Renault

Peugeot Moonster Concept, 2001. Presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show, it was Marko Lukovic's winning design for Peugeot's design competition, themed "the car of 2020". The Moonster's design was inspired by lunar rovers and dolphins. The raw aluminium bodywork was crafted by Carrosserie Lecoq.

Fiat Tipo 2.0 i.e. 16V Versione Corse, 1992, by Romaldini. A high performance version of Fiat's I.DE.A-designed hatchback.

Felber Oasis, 1980. Willy Felber found a market for luxury SUVs in the late 70s by taking the International Harvester Scout II and giving it a restyle that including fitting the quad rectangular headlamps from a Fiat 125. He made somewhere between 50 and 70 4X4s as late as 1984, 4 years after IH had stopped making the Scout.

Isuzu Dragon Max, 2025 (1988). The Japanese truck-maker has presented a restomod based on their 1980s TFR pickup. The makeover includes new LED lights, lowered suspension, 17 inch wheels and an upgraded interior with Alcantara, added carbon trim and leather seat inserts. The truck has been repowered with Isuzu’s 2.2-litre MaxForce turbodiesel engine from the current D-Max modified to produce 217hp.

Daihatsu Fellow 90, 1989. Presented at the 28th Tokyo Motor Show, a concept for a T-roof 2-door 16 valve 1600cc compact hardtop.

Honda Tourmaster, 1996. A pick-up based on the the TF-series Isuzu Faster that was marketed for 3 years before being discontinued due to poor sales. Honda and Nissan have officially ended discussions for a potential merger.

Sabberton Omen, 2003. A project by British boat builder Alan Sabberton to make a car. The Omen used Jaguar suspension in a spaceframe chassis and was powered by a 4.7 litre Chevrolet engine. The fully enclosed wheels dictated the car's width because the front wheels had to turn within the bodywork

Daewoo No.1 Concept, 1994. A sports car prototype based on the Daewoo Nexia that was styled at the European Daewoo Design Centre (hence the name, it was the first European-designed Daewoo). It didn't progress beyond concept stage though some elements of the design were used for the Daewoo Nubira (introduced in 1997)

TVR Scamander, 2007. Another wild card from the London Concours. A project by Peter Wheeler, one time owner of sports car maker TVR, to create an all-terrain, amphibious vehicle. Wheeler had sold the company before the Scamander was finished and TVR's new owner wasn't interested in developing the ATV so it remained a one-off. It's powered by a mid-mounted Ford V6. Peter Wheeler passed away in 2009.

Bertone Freeclimber, 1989. A version of the Daihatsu Rugger/Rocky for the European market with styling modified by Bertone and powered by BMW straight-6 petrol and diesel engines. It was quite popular with 2795 leaving Bertone's Grugliasco facility in Italy before production ended in 1992.

Sbarro Super Eight, 1984. Presented 40 years ago at the Geneva Motor Show, a relatively modest looking hatchback body covering the mid-engined drivetrain of a Ferrari 308 GTB. It remained a one-off

Isuzu Unicab, 1967. A compact utilitarian vehicle powered by a 1.3 litre 4 cylinder engine, later enlarged to 1.5 litres. Introduced at the 13th Tokyo Motor Show, the rugged looks hid the fact the Unicab was rear wheel drive only. With no 4x4 version, limiting its usefulness, sales were low. It was discontinued and not replaced in 1974.
