All about Vitaly Petrov (dob: September 8, 1984) - also known as the "Vyborg Rocket" - the 1st Russian Formula 1 driver in history! He raced in Formula 1 from 2010 to 2012 for Renault and Caterham. Vitaly now races in DTM for Mercedes-Benz with Mücke Mercedes, beginning in the 2014 season.

DTM news: HWA adds fifth DTM Mercedes

Mercedes has announced its team split for the 2014 DTM season, with flagship squad HWA expanding to five entries.

The German firm has increased its DTM line-up from six to seven cars this year.

Formula 1 refugees Vitaly Petrov and Paul di Resta, the latter back in the DTM for the first time since winning the 2010 title with Mercedes, have joined team returnees Gary Paffett, Daniel Juncadella, Christian Vietoris, Robert Wickens and Pascal Wehrlein.

The latter is promoted to the fifth HWA entry, alongside di Resta, Paffett, Vietoris and Wickens.

Petrov slots into Wehrlein's place at Mucke, where he partners Juncadella.
