What I would have worn to assassinate @trump 🤡 🔫 had he not canceled his Juneteenth Rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, BLACK WALL STREET today. Juneteenth was established 56 years before the Tulsa race riots to celebrate and ensure blacks new about their freedom. Fast forward to 2020 & the ground in Tulsa is still steaming hot from fire, BOMBS, and innocent blood, yet we are expected to stay cool as we still fight for modern day freedom. The same neighborhood destroyed by white mobs, who looted black businesses and homes, killing hundreds, ( Technically we don’t know how many because the massacre was never properly investigated). The police, of course, did nothing to protect black citizens; instead, they joined the rioters. We see today nothing has changed and to add insult to injury Trump told the Wall Street Journal that neither he nor any of his staff seemed to know the meaning of the holiday before the furor over his Tulsa rally. 🙄 “Trump said a black Secret Service agent told him the meaning of Juneteenth as the president was facing criticism for initially planning to hold his first campaign rally in three months on the day,” the paper reported in a lengthy interview with the president. That lack of knowledge did not stop Trump claiming that his Tulsa rally had greatly helped popularize the holiday – which is already commemorated or observed by 47 states and the District of Columbia. “I did something good: I made Juneteenth very famous,” Trump told the newspaper. “It’s actually an important event, an important time. But nobody had ever heard of it.” But who are we kidding ? I guess he never heard of Black Wall St. either.
