You got some interesting fighting costumes for your characters. What was the thought process behind them?

My first thought when i started designing them was to make "battle apt lingerie" but as I worked on the hierarchies of their world, it occurred to me that the most skilled warriors and priestesses are given cloaks with insect motifs, mainly their elytra, these are made of an extremely resistant material. The suits have magical properties that increase their resistance and regeneration.
