This absolutely isn’t their world, they’re completely aware of that. But their Sad Kcalb senses are tingling, and they can’t just leave while there’s a sad Kcalb around. To heck with consequences, they can be home in time for tea later still.

They just decide to take the direct approach, and walk right up to him to start talking. Tact is a thing of the past, Quasar knows that subtlety with that kind of sad person just goes in circles. At best, they can pretend to be an apparition, and at worst they can just pretend to be the same Etihw that isn’t tending to this sad Kcalb. Shame on that Etihw.
