Originally working in theatre, Florian Hetz started to keep a photographic diary to counteract the memory loss of an encephalitis in 2007. He began documenting his daily life during the recovery. In 2016 the process of taking journal photos shifted to creating images that were based on his memories, or the lack of it. He has published three books and shown his work internationally in group and solo shows. He lives and works in Berlin.
