Genuinely I wanna know what long time long furby fans think of the new DJ Furby toy and the brand basically acknowledging long furbies with it.

Do you like it? Hate it? Why? I'm really curious as an outsider looking in.

(I love furbies but I'm not massively in the fandom but one day I'd love to have my own long furby)

Here's my two cents:

Having the very first official long furby is bittersweet.

It's cool to see what the brand has come up with and what a canonical long furby looks like. It feels like a recognition of us furby people in addition to their focus towards just making a kids toy.

But at the same time... Now what is the purpose of making a long furby? It may discourage creativity within the community. It's almost as if the company has made anything possible for their toy, but it's the more limiting aspects of furbies that I think make them so special. The 2012 furbies are incredibly hard to skin? Yes but we do it anyways. They don't have an off button? Perfect. I have seen the last furbys almost more as a clean slate to work with, whereas this DJ is already very done-up. I feel the same way about the 2023 furby in general. It's too much.

I spotted an occluplanid residing in my kitchen drain the other day. Haven't gotten around to ID the specific individual, but just wanted to share this newfound research. How might it have got there? Why? Does it feed on the food waste? Is it perhaps hydrating itself? Let me know your thoughts.

🥳3 Years of Funfetti🎉

The Funfetti Family has grown so much over 3 years 🥺 I decided for his birthday, that I would reorganize his shrine and print all of the digital art to put on the wall. Though it took me 3 hours of dusting and placing blu tac on the wall, it was well worth it! Here's to another Fetti-filled year!

In celebration of my 25th birthday I have two new additions to the family! Lemon drop, a sunny yellow baby (a color I have loved and wanted!! WITH THE NEON BLUE EYES 😍) and Gertrude, a giraffe 98. I love them both so much they are a bonded pair from an older lady the city over. They are both working and in good condition, although I plan on giving them a good wash since I need to make furby soup with my other newer additions anyways
