Here's the About me button for mobile users.

It's definitely more comprehensive compared to the short bit of info found in my actual bio, including a bunch of the tags I use.

#interestingly the mobile app doesn't support looking at other pages of a blog #but whatever it works well enough #not seeing the about button has been bothering me for a while now...

you'll get the urge as an artist or a writer to say out loud the things you're worried about "the proportions are off" "kind of out of character" "i'm not good at summaries" "didn't get as much detail as i wanted" "i made a mistake and here's how" and that's the self-conscious part of your brain telling you "it's bad and if you don't tell them you know it's bad then they'll think you're stupid" but you've got to ignore that little voice and pretend you think it's good or else that little voice is going to ruin your life

#and if you absolutely feel the need to comment something like that - like an acknowledgement or reasoning #then you gotta find a way to express yourself in a way that doesn't imply self-deprecation #immediately focusing on the bad as a bad is unhealthy no matter which way you look at it #and nobody wants to interact with someone clearly lost in their own self-deprecating thoughts #it turns into a catch-22 situation where if they don't like it you feel justified in the negativity #and if they like it you feel it's just out of pity - there's no winning #and this isn't something that others are ignorant about either #nobody wants to come off as being rude by agreeing to the self-deprecation #nor does anyone want to imply pity on the artist - essentially admitting that their self-deprecation is factual #art is a medium where you share your feelings with others - don't make others feel bad for interacting with your feelings #tag rambles
