—i am. so sorry for being gone for so long. i don’t want to go into details but my life has really taken a turn for the worst recently. i’m doing slightly better now, but still not terribly great; hopefully life throws me an olive branch soon, though. i miss my gaymer son very much, as well as all of the friends i’ve made through him, and if you want to reach me my discord is lιηκ.#4797 - i also will rp through that medium as well, but please tell me who  you are if you add me. i don’t know if ill be back here anytime soon, but know that i’m always thinkin abt taiki and the rest of u.

♔  “ i don’t think i fully understand how this game is played … “   no kidding , considering he’s been sitting    idly    next to taiki with a controller in hand barely doing much of anything but staring with a confused expression . needless to say , video games aren’t something he engages in often . he only picked this one because the artwork on the case was appealing .

—to be fair , taiki had paid attention to the first forty-five minutes yusuke had played - he was doing his best , but he was so slow . after the initial exposition dump and tutorial , which somehow took yusuke twice as long as everyone else on the planet , he’d pulled out his phone , with occasional glances to see how his friend was progressing .

taiki sighs , sitting up properly and squinting at the screen for a moment . “ are you - oh , come on , inari , you didn’t even get to the cave of nagi ? you’re hopeless . ” as soon as he says it , taiki regrets it - yusuke is far from hopeless - but all he does is move to take the controller and begin to save and quit . 

“ i can help you out later , ” he says , flopping backward onto his bed . “ do you wanna do something else ? ” well , wait , maybe yusuke was enjoying the struggle - taiki’s finger hovers over the button to close the software . “ or ... you can keep struggling with okami , if you want . ”

—he stops reaching for a moment , to look dramatically offended . “ i didn’t steal them . it’s not my fault you don’t have a ladder yet and there were blue flowers in the mountains . and i promised to give them back once i had enough of my own , so you didn’t really lose anything . ” there’s a moment of silence , before he makes to climb on the couch to reach yusuke’s height . “ and you could get a ladder if you’d buy a house , so do it yourself or i’ll do it for you ! ”

—he mashes the A button for a few seconds to skip dialogue , stopping as the flight scene takes over . “ i won’t , ” he promises , nodding at their request . taiki wasn’t really into placing flowers aesthetically , but he was trying to breed all the rare ones , so he understood the hustle . “ what fruit do you have again ?? i haven’t been to your island in forever . ”

♔   a sigh , almost pitying. “ you certainly do not understand why i have to make sure my island is the proper aesthetic before i buy a house. everything needs to flow . “

—i feel like now is a good time to mention that futaiki owns the pink-green and purple-orange joy-con controller sets, but he uses the green and orange ones together and has the pink and purple ones up on a shelf. he wants to have someone paint them one day, but he doesn’t know what to yet.
