JUST WAIT A MINUTE, i'LL BE DOING REPLIES SOMETIME DURING THIS OR NEXT WEEK ;;;;;;;;;;;;;
So the explanation is that he got bored, thatās totally understandable. He can comprehend when people complain about being bored, because here arenāt many things to do if you are a new person in this planet. Old inhabitants have found a job and have their lives settled down, but for the new ones, like the servant, it is difficult to find a way to kill the boredom, so explore both lands and meet people seems to be an option.
āYes, I know what you mean. It is pretty boring when you donāt have things to do.ā he mentions, while shrugs and remembers that thing about not spend too much time outside your assigned Island. āI guess you should know about that legend that says you could be dragged back to your island? How long have you been here?ā he asks with curiosity, just to know how long he can stay here without any problem or without have to suffer any punishment.
Kaiji nodded sort of passively. He sort of tended to be this way no matter where he was. Sure few first weeks he had been pretty frantic searching solutions for the situations but in the end found none. The more time passed the more passive he got. So, change of scenery did pretty good at least.
"...legend? No, I don't think I have heard about that..."
But really, considering the long time he had been here you would think that he was aware of the legend but no. Kaiji didn't remember hearing that at all. Not even once. He mentally scolded himself for not finding out about it because basically it meant that he hadn't gathered information about this place all that effectively. He was supposed to live here after all.Ā
"...um, in Lumen? I just arrived... uh, maybe ten mins or so? Can't be much more than that at least.
..but hey, if that thing is true then we should prolly get going?"Ā

ā¬|Ā Ā āLonger than that? I feel especially sorry for those people right now, I would go insane by that timeā¦ā
Insane in not knowing. As impatient as she truly was, there was no way sheād be able to last that long, would she? Without knowing at least something to keep her cool about this place, being stuck there for two months would drive her up the wall!
Thoughā¦there seems to be no real way out of hereā¦soā¦
āItā¦kind of was. Iām glad you didnāt have to experience that, though.āĀ
"You get used to it. Unfortunately... though well, I wouldn't be so surprised if someone went all nuts here but... usually you just get used to it, heh..."
Despite the laugh Kaiji's face has no trace of smile on it. He was forced to get used to it - no matter how you thought of it his hands were pretty tied here. Everyone's hands were.Ā
"...it does seem like that, yeah..."
He bit his lip for a bit. He wasn't so glad about this girl having to go through something like that... There must have been something he could do for her...
"..um, have you seen your apartment yet? Or... um..."
He stopped there, not having idea what else could he do about it really so all he could do was to show sort of nervous expression.

ā¬|Ā Ā āTwoā¦months, you say. Ohā¦ā
Lacie, youāre leaving the poor man hanging here! Gears slowly began to turn in her mind, more thanĀ fascinatedĀ by this new knowledge. So she wasnāt the only one forced to this strange placeā¦! Although, the fact that he never experienced those dark coils were a littleā¦mysterious.
āI guess that was just me thenā¦ā she muttered, surprised, āWell, be glad you didnāt have those; I was dragged here before being knocked out.āĀ
"Yeah, I think there's people here who have stayed even longer than that."Ā
But man the way she got here - it sure sounded nasty. He himself was sort of used to getting knocked unconscious and such. It had happened quite a few times already.
...but yeah. That's not something he should tell her, no use in that.Ā
"That must've been scary...."
PUPPY (closed@deceiving-eyes)
Kano let out another chuckle at the otherās reaction. āYou really donāt have to try so hardā, he said. Although the fact that Kaiji was trying so hard was what made it so fun to tease the other. āIām not judging you or anything, you can have fun with that dog as much as you likeā¦!ā
The blond glanced at the dog which was still busy playing with the otherās shoe laces. āSo itās not yours, huhā¦ā, he muttered. āYou found itā¦?! Maybe itās lost, donāt you think you should bring it back to his⦠her⦠Is it a girl, did you take a look?! Uh, anyway⦠Shouldnāt you look for its ownerā¦?!ā Kano looked at the dog again. āThough it doesnāt really look like it misses its ownerā¦ā The dog seemed to be more than satisfied with being able to play with Kaijiās shoe laces and if it really did have an owner it probably had already forgotten about them.
āYou donāt look like you have much to offer anywayā, he responded cheekily. āSo, yeah, I am in fact not lost but if you insist on telling me how to get back to where I came from please do so, I donāt really mind! Oh and⦠Can you fightā¦?! I mean⦠are you strong?! Do you have amazing super powers or anything?! That would be really cool⦠and helpfulā¦ā Making friends with a super hero was Kanoās top priority closely followed by finding his way back to the place he was currently living at. Finding out how he ended up in Tenebris, why he ended up here or if there was a chance of getting out of here again came after that.
"....hmph", Kaiji simply shut mouth into thin line dropping his eyes to the puppy who was still at it. After giving a once more glare at the other he dropped down to squat next to the little thing and proceeding to stare it quite intensely.Ā
When he was spoken to again Kaiji simply shrugged. He really didn't know anything about the owner or if there was a one but the lack of collar seemed to indicate that there was no such thing.Ā
"...well, if there is a owner then he should take better care of it. And well... I don't know. It doesn't seem to have anything on it, y'know, collar...."
A slightly grudging tone there - Kaiji really hated the thought that someone would abandon this puppy. Sure, that's how people were but if it was the case Kaiji felt bad for the dog even if the dog itself didn't.
He took a careful grasp of the canine pulling it away from his shoelaces - he couldn't afford to allow it to destroy them completely. Giving a careful scratch on it ears he repeated the shrug.
"...um, I don't know. There's... no much point in checking, I can't keep the mutt anyway. Have to feed myself too and all."
The pup gave a good yelp as Kaiji ended his sentence. He allowed a little smile on his face but that was broken soon enough with the other words.Ā
"Well, excuse me for being no good! And..."
In the middle of his sentence all his temper drained away. The things the other listed... well, none of really fit him. Sure, he would probably do okay on street fight - on spontaneous fight or drunken brawl but well, there was absolutely nothing to brag about that.Ā
"....well... no. Now that I think of it I really can't do anything much..."
The pup proceeded to gnaw on Kaiji's gloves.
So, he was mistaken in assume he was an inhabitant of the Island of light. It seems that this person is, in fact, a mere visitor in this place, just a as the blond servant is. Well, in this case, this means that he canāt actually help with precise information, but⦠two brains think better than one, so, if he wants to help the swordsman to encounter the place, then thatās fine with him.
āOh, Iām from Tenebris too.ā he says, but that was already obvious. āIām looking for the statue in the center of the city, because there is an armour shop near of it. The products seem to be better than the ones in the shops in Tenebris, so I just wanted to go and see.ā he says, placing a hand in his waist in a relaxed pose.
āWhat brings you here? If I can know, of course.ā he asks with curiosity. No many people like to come here, thatās why.
Kaiji nodded silently to the other's explanation. This guy seemed to somehow fit here better than he did. Now, this didn't mean that Kaiji thought that the other wanted to be here or anything but in terms of clothing. So, somehow his destination wasn't all that surprising.
Now that he thought of it, it did seem like there was some sort of scabbard hanging on his side. Ā Kaiji gave a simple curious glance towards it before the other addressed him.Ā
"...hn? Oh me, uh..."
"...well, I was just sort of bored, I guess."
That was pretty much it. There wasn't much interests Kaiji had in the first place so his reasons moving around was usually either boredom or food.Ā

ā¬| Ā āWait a secondāyou areā¦? Butā¦I thought everyone just lived hereā¦āĀ
Queue the moment of realization. So this guy was trapped here too? Baffled, the woman thinks it all through, a hand gently resting upon her fore head to rub her temple before she realized. Those coils, those pitch black coils that came up from the ground and sucked her into where-ever this place wasā¦did he too get sucked in here?
āWere you pulled in here by black coils too?
I nearly thought I was the only one that got here like that, if thatās the case; itādā¦explain some things, too.ā
Whoops, Lacieās already zoning out from him with this new information. If that really was the case, everyone living in this place would have gotten here in the same way she did; perhaps thatās why some people mentioned she was new here-!Ā
"Yeah. Been here for about... well, at least two months."
That should be about right. He had been keeping count and all. Kaiji had no idea if the time was the same here as it was in Japan - it was like that in fiction, wasn't it? Time passed faster in some places and all that... And while there was no doubt of this all being true, Pandora fit the description of any such world extremely well.Ā
"...black coils? Uh, no, nothing like that. I just... lost my consciousness and woke up here?"
((okay kaiji replies tomorrow o/ this muse is actually faring pretty well haha I really need to go to sleepĀ
should any of you want a thread with either Kaiji or Josuke, let me know but uh no starters from me, I'm running empty on ideas for now ;;;;))

ā¬|Ā āMmhmmā¦!
I guess I am a little uneasy; how would you like waking up in a place youāre completelyĀ unfamiliarĀ with, with noĀ recollectionĀ as to howĀ you got there?ā
Lacie gives a quiet little shrug with the words, as if to push them aside for the time being. Seeing his awkwardness, she canāt help a small laugh. Already, sheās seeing things like her brother in other peopleā¦thatās just great. Ā
āAnywaysā¦I guess Iām alright. You could say Iām worried about a family member of mine. I doubt theyāre here tooā¦āĀ
"Well, I should know, I mean... I'm here too, y'know. Against my will."
Kaiji knew that the other didn't mean bad or anything but he couldn't help allowing himself a little sharpness in his tone. However he soon enough returned to apologize it - though well not quite directly. Rather than that he simply stated:Ā
"Ah, but well... I get it, yeah. "
"But... yeah, don't think your family is here. It's... too bad."
Well, saying it that way wasn't very comforting but Kaiji didn't really know how to say it. He himself had no qualms being apart from his family - he hadn't seen them on ages even when he was still in Japan.

ā¬|Ā Ā It wasnāt her intentions to stick outā¦but from being kidnapped by black coils ofā¦whatever the heck they were from her own time was bound to have a few effects.Ā Iāve gotta come up with a way to get back home.Ā Why was she even bothering with home? Home is where death awaited her, in what was last supposed to be a few more months. Yetā¦her brother. He was the sole reason of her worry, and the sole reason of her wishing to go back.Ā But the question isā¦how do I do that? Jack and him are probably worried like hellā
Just adapt, for now.
Wait for an opening.
āMmmmā¦ā
she hums to herself, finding a pitch from thin air as she began to hum to herself. After all, she didnāt care of people stared. That is, until somebody approached. Raising her head, she gently raises an eyebrow.Ā
āYouāre not bothering me in the least-! Iām fineā¦Iām just trying to clear some thoughts is allā¦āĀ
"A-ah, is that so?"
"Well, that's good and all, I guess but I was just wondering...you seemed a bit ...uneasy but uh...."
Well, he couldn't expect her to open up all of her possible worries at the very first meeting, couldn't he? Kaiji knew that he himself wouldn't. Thinking about it like this it was a tad embarrassing even if he wasn't being a bother.Ā
"But well, it's good if you're ok! Yeah!"Ā
He finished the sentence with a nervous laughter.

futureinyourhand-sĀ difference-is-so-obvious twirinku
ā¦.have come to speak.Ā
ā¬|Ā Ā Ā Oh. Hey, the deeper she went, the more people she went. So this place was inhabited! Will you look at that! Ah..but as far as directions went (for once in her life, she actually felt uncomfortable being lost like this), what was she to say? For now, she merely takes up a rather quiet position near the peculiar statue (perhaps it was a monument toā¦something?)Ā
Ah this girl stuck out a little. She seemed to have some sort of old style western dress and pretty features. At first Kaiji just noted this mentally - he didn't have a habit of going to new people without any reason to - but then he noticed the slight unease that you could saw from her face. It never worked before but Kaiji tried not caring at first - who knows what might have happened! Pandora was never a place that Kaiji would list as safe ground... Not to mention that he might even seem suspicious in a place like this.
So, yeah.
He needed to ignore this.
"..."
And with a sigh Kaiji heaved himself up from the bench he had been stuck on for few hours and made his way to the woman that was currently staring at the statue of ....that guardian shit thing of Tenebris.Ā
"Um, sorry to bother you 'n all but are you alright?"
So, he has an idea of how to reach that place, but, that doesnāt mean that he actually knows where it is. In Tenebris, the servant could find the statue in minutes, even with all the darkness that difficults everything, but here⦠it is different, thatās why he is asking⦠just to be sure he is walking the correct way.
āAn idea? Are you new here in Pandora?ā or is he new in Lumen, as well as the attendant? He frown in confusion. Could it be that he was mistaken in assume that this person was an inhabitant of Lumen? That wouldnāt be a surprise due to here, in Pandora, it doesnāt exist the usual characteristics that define the place where you come from. You could guess it by reading the mark of a virtue or a sin, but sometimes thatās difficult to see, because people use to hide it on purpose or just without intentions.
"No, I just... um..."
It was just that he hadn't really bothered walking all the way to Lumen out of sheer laziness. Tenebris didn't help that at all. Lately it had been affecting him heavily enough that he couldn't be bothered to raise from the bed anymore and in the end it was a hunger that had chased him out of there.
"...well, there is some distance between the islands and all so I just don't have a habit of coming here all too often, I guess."
'"I live in Tenebris. Been here for two months already. About."
Saying that aloud was sort of discouraging - that was a long time. These days Kaiji didn't think about it all too often and he was also sort of used to the thought of living here but it didn't make him want to stay or anything.Ā
Moving In. (for Kaiji)
āYeah, thatās true. My name is Kotetsu. Kotetsu Kaburagi.ā He adjusted his hat like heās known to do and flashed him another smile. āThis apartment is pretty nice. Nothing like my old one, but I guess itāll have to doā -Ā hopefully -Ā āfor now. Nice to meet you, Kaiji.ā He stuck out a hand.
Kaiji made a tad sour face as the other mentioned about the condition of the house - or well, the size of it. Kaiji himself was used to much smaller apartment consisting of a kitchen, bathroom and one other room. Though well, had he been there now he wouldn't even had that.Ā
Still, he didn't see any reason to note this aloud - after all this was a place offered by the one who had taken them here so there was no need for anyone to be grateful, wasn't there. So he shook the other's hand quite lazily.
"Mm. Yeah, likewise."
This inhabitant of Lumen, apparently, is willing to help him, and thatās something good. When he had oportunity of talk and inquire things to others who were living on the Island of light, they showed a small desire on communicate anything to him, and a strong intention to start a fight. The level of cooperativeness seems to decrease while the ambient becomes brighter.
āDo you know how can I reach to the statue in the center of the island?ā he asks without pause. People tend to narrate stories about being dragged to your respective island when you have wasted enough time in the opposite place, heās not supersticious, but he doesnāt want to tempt the gods either.
"Uh..."
Recalling back Kaiji remembered the statue that located in the center of Tenebris. So Lumen had the similar kind? It would seem to make sense considering that the two island were built almost identically - that's how it seemed at least. The impression of this strengthened even more with the other mentioning that the statue was at the centre of Lumen. The only differences seemed to be the amount of the light, the effects and some building locations but otherwise the main locations were the same. Or so it seemed.Ā
"Um, well.... I do have a faint idea how to get there, so... "
He hesitated for a bit. He didn't really get what the other wanted from there and that's why he was a bit slow to reply.
"...well, I don't have anything particular to do so I guess I could help you find it...?"
PUPPY (closed@deceiving-eyes)
Upon hearing the other say that he hadnāt been playing Kano chuckled once again. āAh, really?! You definitley looked like you were having fun though~ā The blond didnāt see anything wrong with spending your time playing with a puppy though. Tenebris was a pretty depressing place after all and one of the best ways to cheer yourself up was probably to spend time with a cute little companion. However, the fact that Kaiji tried so desperately to hide that the had indeed been playing with the puppy was too funny and really made Kano want to tease the other.
Kano watched the dog play with Kaijiās shoelaces for a moment.āIt really seems to like you. It isnāt really playing or anything, though.ā A cheeky grin formed on his lips as he tried to imitate the otherās voice, completely ignoring his question for the time being. Instead of answering he squat down and put out his hand, earning a high-pitched bark from the puppy.
A slightly offended expression on his face Kano turned his attention to Kaiji again. āI donāt really want anything from you, I just happened to pass by when you were⦠not playing with your dog. And uh⦠I wondered if you are familiar with this placeā¦ā The boy took a short look over his shoulder, remembering why he ended up here in the first place. āNot that I got lost or anything⦠Iām just curiousā¦!ā
Kaiji opened his mouth about to say something against that but in the end only mumbled a quiet "shut up". His face would just continue to redden and the eyes were now even more strictly fixated on the side far from the stranger and the puppy. The latter one didn't seem to mind though but moved from shoelace into gnawing his trousers and occasionally bumping its' head onto his foot. Occasionally Kaiji's glace would drop at the direction but just as swiftly he would pull it back like it had been by accident.Ā
āIt really seems to like you.Ā It isnāt really playing or anything, though.ā
"J-just shut up already...!!"
Somehow Kaiji felt a little smug about the dog's rejection of the other so for a while there was a grin on his face. As soon as he realized that it was really nothing to brag about his expression returned to normal, slightly flustered frown again. After all if he were to say something about it aloud he would just end up getting even more embarrassed.Ā
"...it's not my dog", he noted instead.Ā
Well, that was true at least. He allowed his eyes turn to the dog as he continued wondering if it was actually someone's or if it was stray. It did lack a collar but not everyone kept those on their dogs - that and it could have ran away when it wasn't on. It was difficult to say really.Ā
But never mind the puppy (to some extent). Hearing the other's request Kaiji's eyebrow raised slightly and his head gave a tilt when the other explained himself. He actually sort of hoped the other was actually lost so that he could get back just a bit.
"...so if you're not lost then I don't know if I have much to offer. I mean, I don't really know much about this place either", he gave a little grin but dropped it when he continued again: "but... well, ask away."
I was planning to do replies but

Lost, if he has to describe his currently status, thatās lost. He isnāt capable of orientation in Tenebris, then how is supposed that he could keep the track of his steps in Lumen? Even when the illuminance conditions arenāt a trouble as in the other island, the luminosity can cause more blindness that the darkness. That, and he doesnāt want to think in the bridge⦠oh, that piece of gold that likes to play to be unseen when he decides to need it. But, even that wonāt make him stay in Tenebris, he carries a mission to fulfill. Because this is a new world, and he canāt be calm when there are things out of his knowledge.
Suddenly, but expected, someone is seen in the distance. Itās a man, and thatās relieving. Dark hair, shoulderās lenght; old green and black outfit, thatās all he can see, but also a perfect opportunity to ask for what he was looking for. He approaches cautiously, because the rumours he has heard about the inhabitants of Lumen arenāt good, so it is better to be prepared.
āHey!ā exclaims loudly to be heard.
Aww mann, it's bright.
Ā Kaiji's eyes were so accustomed to the pitch black streets of Tenebris that Lumen was almost blinding. However after spending so much time in that melancholic darkness these lights were nothing but welcome for Kaiji. Tenebris only supported his already negative nature - not only the change of lighting but the uplifting feeling that walking here caused made Kaiji all excited. It was like he could do anything right now. It was exactly like he had heard - and it was this very reason he had headed here in the first place.
In Tenebris Kaiji easily snapped at those who suddenly spoke to him - snapped or get all nervous and fidgety. Here it was nothing like that ... well, Kaiji could never really get rid of his habit being slightly nervous around people at first but at least he wasn't a complete nervewrack now.Ā
"Hm?"
He turned around to face the stranger.Ā
