Hi! My baby dreads are a little over 2 weeks old, & I was wondering how long must I wait to dye them? Is there a certain method for dyeing dreadlocks? I bleach my hair & I'm clueless of the whole process & upkeep I should give to them after bleaching.
Just make sure you cover enough surface, which for me (since my dreads are pretty long) takes 2 boxes of dye. I'd say wait at least a couple months, they're so delicate right now, the best is to just leave them be! (but wash and separate, obviously)
Another shot (taken from my MassRoots) of the Peace joint I rolled :)
where there are the roots of my hair, dreadlocks aren't forming. however they are young, but is it normal? thanks
Very normal. Over time, you'll see that your hair will start to dread naturally, provided you separate them at the root. More root questions answered here
Hi, can you still die your hair with dreadlocks?
Absolutely! There's a "Dyed" section in the Categories :)
