Jung Il-woo, who recently won ‘Forever Young Icon’as only Korean actor at China’s most influential fashion and beauty awards <2014 Cosmo Beauty Awards>, became the most desired TV commercial actor in China.

He also proved his sensational popularity in China gaining over 12 million Chinese SNS followers.

Sources said his popularity comes from his own individuality of clear skin and bright smile. He was also chosen as the face for ‘Biotherm China’ thanks to his pure image.

I want to become a person who is qualified to be an actor. In order to do so, I have to deliver my best performances all the time for the work that I chose and for my fans. The qualification for an actor is to act well. With such responsibility in mind, I tend to do nothing but shoot and study the script once I am working on a drama or a film, because I know that I will stay forever in the frame of the camera.

ILWOO’s MOM MADE ONE OF THE PRINCE’S HANBOKS BY HAND, INCLUDING WEAVING THE CLOTH! (via naver news)

Il-woo’s mother is a university professor and expert on textile design, especially traditional Korean patterns;  I had wondered if she’d designed something for the character,  as this looked particularly pretty and since he’d worn designs by his mom and sister before.

Between his grandmother’s cooking and his mother’s bespoke tailoring, I’m expecting the future Mrs. Jung to be Superwoman in order to live up to the family standards! :-)

Jung Il Woo, star of the recently completed K-drama The Night Watchman's Journal (marathon time!), sat down for an interview where he talked about his work and his best friend, Lee Min Ho. Yes!
