I find it very interesting that antis are usually preoccupied with the shipping part of fandom. You'll see fics and artwork that details torture and gore with "proship dni" on it. I'm not saying that those works don't deserve to exist, obviously they do, but I just find it interesting that antis tend to only have a problem when it comes to taboo relationships in fandom. If you're able to separate reality from fiction when it comes to violence, why not when it comes to romantic or sexual relations?
Honestly as someone who has taboo ships I gotta wonder too. Like why only separate fanon/canon when it’s dubious tags???

The reason Jensen has to suck up to Jared is his own fault, he’s not doing it to soothe Jared’s ego like AAs and hellers wish. He wanted to be his own man, went about it poorly (understatement) and is now in this weird position where he feels he has to suck up to Jared because he wasn’t able to strike out on his own, but he still has a huge undeserved ego so everything he says comes off as disingenuous and it’s clear that he’s overcompensating for something.
Are they still friends? Looks like it. Are Jensen’s Jared centric or J2 bro love fest spiels some sort of PR? Probably, but not in the way haters wish they were. Jensen clearly wants the to go back to the golden days where he could coast off Jared, get equal credit and be a moneymaking dream team. Only that will never return because you can’t have your cake and eat it too. Jensen can’t be a leading man who can stand on his own (which he clearly desperately wants) while clinging to his past dynamic with Jared and Supernatural.
I think he could still strike out on his own, but, he just doesn't have good business sense. So get competent advisers, dude. (Just my opinion). And I do think he misses what being a unit with Jared included.

It’s honestly so dumb to me that the spn fandom flips a tit if you ship wincest but other major fandoms like the GoT fandom, literally 90% of fanfic content is a form of incest and it’s PRAISED. Like the Jon/Sansa Stark, Jon Snow/Daenerys Targaryen(keeping in mind that R+L=J), and now Rhaenrya/Daemon Targaryen pairing. I can’t even say it around my fanfic writer friends who love spn bc they all ship destiel. Thank gods they aren’t hellers about it, BUT, they openly don’t like wincest bc it’s incest. Even with the argument of it being fanon 🙂😩😔😭🪦 I have always shipped wincest but when I discovered destiel I clung to it without ever really legitimately, 100%, shipping it because it was a socially acceptable ship (no less annoying these days) and misha tried so hard to make it “canon” but after finding Nancy’s blog I feel safe—at least on tumblr, on my side blog—to ship what I want. She helped me see misha for the severe queerbaiting trash he is and I love her for it 🤌🏽🤌🏽
