happily ever after 🔔 goah
Noah was playing cards with his sister Lucy Kale, while they waited for the time to come. His sister had been his best friend growing up and now she would be his maid of honor because there simply wasn’t anybody else who he could think qualified for the job. ‘are you nervous?’ Noah set down is next card, “I’m happy, I can’t wait to wear a wedding band and have it be official that he’s my husband.” Noah hadn’t really had a nervous moment, with everything they had gone through, including getting shot, this was such a happy moment that the last thing he wanted to do was taint it with nerves. A knock came to the door and his sister stood, straightening the wrinkles on her dress and coming to give him a tight hug ‘i’ll see you out there’ she smacked his butt as he kissed her cheek and he was finally left alone to his thoughts.
He was going to be a legally married man now, and they would soon make the move to the house of his dreams. He couldn’t even imagine a better life than what he had, a loving family on both sides, and the most supportive husband one could ever ask for. Noah remembered growing up, the struggle that it was to find someone who was even open enough to hold his hand, and now he had a man who wasn’t afraid of anything and who loved him with all his might—he was lucky indeed. He straightened his jacket as he made his way out of the room, making his way towards the chapel, he caught sight of Gage and an immediate smile graced his face. “Ready?” he asked, his fingers lacing with the others as he looked forward.
Gage's best man, Cesar, had had too much going on recently to attend his wedding, so his cousin Tony was standing on the Angeli side of the aisle, waiting--at least slightly drunk--for the men to join him. The priest his mother had chosen, a more progressive Catholic, accepting of both drink and homosexuality, was also waiting for them at the head of the ornate aisle. It looked very much like they could start a florist shop, for all the flowers that were arranged on every available space, and the room smelled heavenly; almost like they were outside.
"Readier than I've ever been for anything." Now, walking into this room with everyone looking at them, taking pictures of them, ooo'ing and ah'ing, Gage's face had never looked more bright. He squeezed Noah's hand more and more tightly as they made their way up to the dais, until he realized he might be cutting off circulation and let up, happy when they finally made it and he almost didn't remember the length of the walk. His face was flushed from excitement and nerves when he reached his mark and finally turned to face Noah, whispering under his breath, "God, this is so pretty. You're so pretty." and winking, just before the Priest started in with his ceremonial speech.
