FORG1VEN joins Gambit
Going into the Summer split of LCS our team decided to make a single roster change. Kristoffer "P1noy" Pedersen is relegated to a substitute position, whereas his place on the team will be assumed by Konstantinos "FORG1VENGRE" Tzortziou.
We cannot say that our organization was necessarily dissatisfied with Kristoffer's performance during his time on our starting roster, but there were minor tensions within the team that we hope to alleviate with this roster change. Moreover, an opportunity to seize one of the strongest players in Europe does not present itself every day.
Our team is already participating in scrims in preparation for the split that starts on May 28th.
Lucas "Cabochard" Simon-Meslet – Top Lane
Danil "Diamond" Reshetnikov - Jungle
Felix "Betsy" Edling – Mid Lane
Konstantinos "FORG1VEN" Tzortziou – AD Carry
Edward "Edward" Abgaryan – Support
Darien Returns to Gambit
Gambit Gaming's former Top Laner Evgeny "Darien" Mazaev decided to return to his original team after a prolonged break from the competitive scene. Even though The Swag Lord hasn't been playing professionally since July 2014, he has been actively grinding games in SoloQ. A couple of days ago he realized that we cannot replicate our former success without his intervention. "Ever since December last year Kristoffer and Lucas have been trying to fill a void left in Gambit after my departure. They've been goofing around and wearing red trousers. Their efforts are simply naïve as they have been just scratching the surface. They don't seem to realize that one cannot replicate my actions to become my successors - it's just the tip of the iceberg. You have to dig deeper, you have to embrace this lifestyle to become one with SWAG," said Evgeny during his job interview.
Even though we have lost only 3 games since the end of our 5-game lose streak, we realize that good results by themselves won't allow us to conquer the minds and the hearts of League of Legends fans. There is no reason to reinvent the wheel, therefore we will go back to our roots and will try to outswag any team that challenges us. We intend to achieve this goal by appointing Evgeny as Superintendent of Wacky Attitude at Gambit.
Starting next week he is going to host group seminars covering topics like development of an eccentric personality, ambiguity in interviews, excessive gesticulation and catwalking. Besides that he will hold individual sessions with every player on our team in which he will review their on-stage footage.
"I'm super excited to work with my spiritual leader. I may have failed him by refusing to solve world hunger, but I am genuinely interested in learning when one should disregard tanky stats in favour of Ability Power on AD Bruisers. Also, I'm French," stated Lucas on this topic. [x]
Gambit Gaming makes the most heart breaking April Fool’s Day post. D;
WHY WOULD U DO THIS GAMBIT
D; April Fools’s hurts.
I’ve done graphical work for Gambit since last year and it’s kinda nice to see my own progression in art from the first time I drew their lineup to now. It might not be super obvious to a lot of people, but I’m seeing a lot of nice refinement.
Darien VS Cabochard, who do you think would win 1 v 1?
Depends on the champions. I think Cabo is more about actually winning while Darien wants to annoy or disrupt his opponent. So, I suppose Cabo would win. It would be cool to watch them play against each other. Sadly Cabo joined NiP when they weren't in LCS in 2014, so, we don't have a video of NiP vs GMB to compare to.
"It was not an easy choice, but we decided to have him as our starter with niQ moving to a substitute position."
Fuck yeaaah!
Gambit beat Fnatic!
