I've noticed that we're running low on some things." he commented, now standing beside his son and Lao. "Can you please ask Carmine to clean her room?" Red requested before he ran out to do some grocery shopping with Jasper. Now... What did they need? He checked his email quickly, since he'd asked his mom how to make that cake for his last birthday... At least they were in the small town now! Their conversation wouldn't be overheard unless it was by a stranger... "Alright... We need bananas as a substitute for eggs, cocoa powder, flour, we're low on salt, sugar and we can make a compote with the berries at home..." he muttered, doing a mental check of what they had at home. "Maybe we could get ice cream in Lumiose tonight with your mom and sister as a treat."

"..Papa!" the kiddo came fumbling over before coming to a stop. He reached in his pockets for a moment before pulling out a note to hand it to Red that read: "Help me bake a cake for mama?"

“Alright. Want to go to the store and help me pick up some things?” He asked while he carefully scratched behind Pèche’s ears. The Pichu was nestled on top of Jasper’s messy hair. “We ran out of that egg substitute yesterday morning, so we’ll have to go to town and get some before we start anything.”

“Hmm…” he hummed, checking the food pantry. “We’re also out of sugar. I guess we’re going to the store to grab some essentials too.”

Red was half-tempted to pick up Jasper like when he was smaller and take him to the store. But the kid was still most comfortable with his mother, even after all these years…

“C'mon. We’ll take Pèche and Lao to help. Pika is busy with keeping unwanted visitors at bay, so I’ll take Char to help with anything heavy that we might pick up.” He smiled, grabbing his vest.

“Honey! We’re out of some food items, so I’m going to the store with Jasper! We’ll be back soon!” Res called out before opening the door for his son. “Jasper wanted a sandwich, but we’re out of bread! We’ll be back in ten minutes!”

The ex-Champion leaned down and gently patted the top of Jasper’s head. “We’ll got you some chocolates while we’re out, okay?” He asked softly as to not tip off his wife.

Red finished the hat he'd been working on and gave it to Chupi, who ran away with the item to show her owner what she'd gotten.

"From what I understand, Jasper has your healing abilities, while Carmine can have full conversations with Pokémon..." he chuckled, "That's why she wanted to help Nurse Joy with any distressed trainers... Even if she's not yet a trainer herself."

The red-eyed girl soon exited the small house. The girl had been taking an afternoon nap to recover some energy from having to walk to all three Pokémon Centers in Lumiose while the power had temporarily gone down again. Her hair was a mess from having slept for so long, but she was a little glad that her Pichu woke her up.

Red looked up from the hat he was making now to point out that her Holo Caster was going off. "You're being called again." he said, "Where is your next appointment?"

Carmine fixed her nightgown and pulled her hair back to answer the call. "...Dendemille." she yawned, quickly braiding her long blonde hair once she turned off the projection. "...I need some money for one of those pretty pink jackets if I'm going there, cause Dendemille is really cold."

The girl went inside to change her clothes and put Chupi in her bag before she started heading there.

"Have a nice trip." Red softly said while she left the berry farm.

Red reluctantly sat down to let the Pichus roam along his body since it seemed that they were amused by his straight face whenever his body was subjected to mild pain.

He just took some hay and started weaving it like Yellow was doing to distract himself from the little red marks along his body. About 93% of Red’s (current) marks were from Pichu scratches, 4% were from Pika and/or Chuchu, 1% was anything that Yellow made from last night and the last 2% were just papercuts and old scars…

Once Red’s mind had cleared, he ended up making something like a pointed straw hat? “Uhm… I don’t know what happened?” he mumbled, staring at the weird creation. “Help?”

Weaving together hay was something Yellow certainly hasn’t done in a long time. But it was apparent that her fingers were still familiar with how to do it. Yellow used to do this frequently whenever she had too much on her mind or when she was in a terribly bad mood. Though looking back on it now… it was kind of funny. It was all for petty reasons, to be honest.

However, her trail of thoughts were pushed aside to another “room” when Red spoke once more, causing her to look up just as she had finished a little hat for a Pichu.

“Hm?” She spoke just as one Pichu came up to snatch the little hat away to play with it. Yellow blinked for a moment as she looked over to see that the little thief was happy to have something of its own size to wear and keep. Yellow smiled a bit before looking back toward Red and her smile remained. “You focused a bit too hard on it.” She spoke. “But that doesn’t mean you should undo the whole thing.” Yellow got up to come to his side, hands reaching over to measure a bit before pointing out where he should stop undoing the weaves. “…About to here and then start lessening the amount.”

Other Pichus have gathered around the thief for a moment, wondering if to either steal from it or to beg for one of their own. A few glanced back toward Red and Yellow for a moment and went over to them, watching with curious eyes while the others remained near the hat. Were they about to fuss over it..?

He nodded and began reshaping the hat, pressing a kiss to her cheek. "I think they just want to be like you." he chuckled, finishing the straw hat. "Babies like to mimic mother figures and even though Chuchu is with them all the time, you're someone who they look up to. At least that's what I think."

Red's lap was covered in the baby Pokémon at this point in time, but he was starting to weave another hat for the Pichus to have. He had a few issues with the hats again, but he reversed his movements to fix his mistakes.

A little Pichu with a pink ribbon on it's head grabbed the hat Red had just made. The ex-Champion gently petted the baby Pokémon and smiled. "You can have this one when I'm done." he chuckled, "Carmine would probably love seeing you in this."

“I think we should just get a few more of these hats. They love these straw hats.” Red chuckled, simply holding the baby Pokémon as more Pichus gathered to see the hat and perch on various parts of Red’s body. “Ow, okay, we really need more of these hats… A few of these guys aren’t too bad, but the whole hoarde? …Heavy.”

Yellow chuckled for a moment before Dody came by with its back full of hay. “You didn’t happen to steal those, did you?” She asked her pokemon as all three heads shook their head to say no. It wasn’t too often that they were in sync, but it was really the honest truth. Soon enough, Kitty came by again and rested on the hay on Dody before calling Yellow for a bit of help. She smiled a bit as she came over to start weaving straws together to make mini hats.

“Why buy what we can make ourselves?” She asked with a smile. “And I think I can ask Amarillo what he can find out from his network. Last time I spoke to him on the phone, he did say he’s a.. pokemon ranger now.” She added as she made a complete circle before moving on to shape the hat. “Have a seat to play with them more. I think their parents will be along soon.”

Pats the teeny tiny pebble Steven on the head. The raven-haired male seemed to be a jungle gym for the Pikachu that was with him.

He looks up at him in confusion, and then at the yellow mouse-looking creature. “Hello!”

Red waved as Pika approached Steven and sniffed the Pebble's shoes.

"You smell different." Red mumbled, crossing his arms uncomfortably. It was a new situation for the eleven year old. It was weird since he had gone to Cinnabar, but this kid across from him didn't smell like Cinnabar Island. Like a different area completely? Maybe a new region?

“There’s a new region and I want to see it.” He shrugged. “I can pay for your brother’s ticket, and we can meet up at the airport. It’s just… we apparently have to avoid using Fly to travel to this region?”

Red reached into his pocket and pulled out a neatly folded travel pamphlet. The travel pamphlet had been pilfered from a Pokémon Centre, since he had been helping Carmine get to and from Snowbelle City lately. It seemed like the child was being called to every Pokémon Centre in Kalos’ cities due to her unique ability.

As her father, he got her there and waited in the Centre for her. One day, he saw something new in the newspaper and decided to track down a way to get some more information about this area.

“It’d be nice for the kids and yourself to see your brother in person.” He smiled, laughing a little when an Impish Pichu jumped from Red’s shoulder and landed on Yellow’s hat before it stole the item to wear for a little bit.

“And, as much as we love the Kalos region, Green’s apparently going to be there to give a couple of seminars to the Alolan professor.” Red mentioned, as he was pretty sure that Yellow would like to see him again someday.

A new region… so that’s the answer? How long has it been? Her head tilted to the side, mentally preparing herself already. It seems as though that if Kitty wanted to, he could stay here at the farm while they were gone. “Let me see the pamplet.” She spoke with a hand out to read it over.

Her eyes skimmed over minor details and then she shook her head a bit. “…Ma cherie.. do you know what the weather is supposed to be like on an island..?” She asked. “Are you sure you won’t get extremely hot within a matter of seconds?” Of course, she asks out of concern. As much as she’d love to see everyone again, she wasn’t sure if Red would even last in such climate. Yellow never minded it when a Pichu decided to take her hat for the time being. She knew better than to think they were trying to hold it hostage.

“Neither of us has seen him since shortly after Carmine was born.” he countered, crossing his arms as the Pichus used him as a playground. “It doesn’t take forever to harvest berries. They plant themselves again if we miss a harvest. So, we don’t have anything to worry about!”

That and it only took a day at the most to get the berries to form on the tree… Nothing unusual about that.

“We can always close off the entrance to the Berry farm after the harvest and once everyone was okay with us being gone for a few days.”

…He has a point. It was only from time to time that she has had a conversation with Amarillo was on the phone… though there was still the time difference between them so it was never really a long one. “Mm..” She pondered for a moment.

“So… are you suggesting the kids and I fly to Kanto for a few days..?” She asked, seeking confirmation. It really was rare enough nowadays for Red to suddenly say it was time for a vacation. And it wasn’t as though he was specific enough when it came to details. Yellow might be able to read the minds of pokemon with a single touch, but Red is not one of them.

“I still don’t know if it’s a good idea…” In other words, don’t think she won’t come up with a comeback in all this just yet, Red.

Now that the child had gotten out of the tree, Red returned to tending to the hoarde of Pichus and any wild Pokémon hanging out at the Berry farm.

But, before that he had a small question to ask.

“Do you want to go on vacation with your brother and with the kids?” Red asked, shoving his hands in his pockets. It was going to be a vacation and maybe a chance for Yellow to see her twin in years. “I can always come along with you if you want, mon amour.”

Yellow frowned for a moment as she watched her son before signalling Kitty to go up to him. “I’ve taught him what I could… and this is exactly why I warned him not to go climbing unless one of us or our pokemon was with him.”

Kitty rested for a moment on the boys head, wings fluttering for a moment as though to ease his nerves.

“Wouldn’t you like to prove to your papa you can climb down, Jasper?” She called to him. “Kitty will help you.”

The boy looked up for a moment before nodding. “O-okaaay…” And slowly but surely, he made his little clumsy way down with a bit of help from Kitty’s side. Yellow hugged the little before letting him go play with Kitty and the others. She moved to help Red out on the farm, pondering the question.

“Right now isn’t a good time to leave you be. It’s almost harvest time, isn’t it?” She asked. “Besides… we both know we cannot just up and leave the farm unattended. There’s just too much to do to consider vacation. A day trip to the city is enough.”
