The Court of Queen Valaena is proud to announce the arrival of GARIN, SER/SWORD OF THE MORNING/QUEENSGUARD of HOUSE DAYNE to Kingβs Landing. The THIRTY year-old CISMAN is known to be CONFIDENT & SOLID but will this Winter reveal that they are also HOT HEADED & UNSELF CRITICAL? They look like TAYLOR ZAKHAR PEREZ, and they HAVE NO THOUGHTS ON the tales of the Other returning. Here is hoping they can band together with everyone else, and repel the coming darkness! Garin has always been one of the best swords in Westeros. As a boy he was besting others twice his size and double his age. When he was sixteen he was knighted, and his father presented him with Morning, deeming him worthy to carry it.
When he was twenty, a position in the queensguard opened and when the Queen asked for his services he quickly said yes.
He is loyal to Queen Valaena and House Targaryen putting them before himself.
It was the morning after the opening feast, and Garin was emerging from his cell in the White Sword Tower down into the common area. Where a few of his other brothers were gathered. More events were going to be starting soon, more work for all of them. Rubbing the back of his head, he was yawning as he took a seat next to Prince Rhaegar.
"Your Grandmother, our good queen really knows how to pull out all the stops. You think we're ever not going to be exhausted again after all of this?"
The Queensguard was working overtime during the events the Royal Family was vast, their numbers only seven. Even with additional guards it seemed they were spread more then usual. Right now Garin was tasked with guarding one of the Princesses during the archery contest. It was proving to be rather...boring. He saw her yawn, which lead to him chuckling quietly to himself.
"Princess, are you enjoying yourself? Do you think the victor has shot before us yet?"
Garin had always considered himself one of the most honorable people he knew. He respected his vows. His oaths. His loyalties. He understood his life was dedicated to the Queen and her family and yet.....despite that....the spell the King Consort had cast over him was......unexplainable, and no matter how much guilt washed over him he was always drawn back for more.
They were in the Trystane's chambers after the feast, he was on guard duty as he was most nights for Trystane. They were currently engaged with one another, his hands running through the older's hair, breaking their kiss, he rubbed their noses together..
"You looked so good at the ceremony earlier today. It was almost too hard to focus on anything else."
Garin realized in King's Landing he was still something of a novelty. He was the youngest, and newest member of the Queensguard. There was also the fact he carried Dawn, one of the most historic blades in Westeros. One that was the envy of most Knights to get to carry. In his armor, and with the greatsword slung across his back, he made his way through the feast, tasked with casual patrolling through the crowds. When suddenly someone turned into him, their wine spilling onto the white armor. They quickly began to apologize, and he shook his head.
"Please, please it was no worry at all." Looking for something to wipe at his breastplate with. "Lady Blackwood is it?"
It was a few days before the joust was set to begin. Garin and Rhaegar had ended up being off shift together. The two youngest members of the Queensguard sitting in the common room. Garin was sitting with a wet clothe over his forehead, relaxing from having to stand in one position for so long, Dawn resting beside him, he raised an eyebrow and looked over at the Prince.
"So do you plan on partaking in any of the events? The joust or the archery contest?"
