howdy yall! so its been something i’ve been lackadaisically posting about here and there during my time here on the blog, but now i can finally say that the first full release of bewildercraft, my minecraft texture pack, is here!

bewildercraft is a hobby project i took upon myself, so make minecraft overall look smoother and more harmonious in colours. whether or not i accomplished this is up to you, but i hope yall like it!

it features retextures of everything i could get my hands on. mobs, blocks, guis, particles, and even paintings! each painting you see is custom made by me by hand, so i hope you like them.

the resolution is 16x16 almost exclusively, with the exception of paintings, which have a resolution of 32x32. the minecraft version it is for is currently exclusively 1.12.2! sorry!

if you don’t plan on using the pack, a reblog would still be nice! i don’t make any money off this pack or its downloads, it’s just nice to see it getting spread around! if you have any feedback, or have encountered a Weirdness that you’re not sure if it’s part of the pack, you can submit a report to the github for this pack! Wha- what even exactly happens on hermitcraft?

*cracks knuckles* I will not use names for this.

Well since season 7 happened, from the people I follow, two hobbits sent each other mail as a wizard who lived in a snail kept getting his doors stolen by one of said hobbits. There was a wild west shoot-up between a cowboy and the Goatfather (who built a giant statue of the Goatmother on a mountain by his half of the split mansion from season 6 that somehow followed them to s7). Said goat was decapitated and the Goatfather left for a while for real life baby things. 

A gigantic city is being made pretty much by a single person who is almost always filthy rich. 

The cowboy who died was revived by the powers of the Dark Side and became a sith lord (I am not sure what he’s up to now). 

There was a complete server-wide slaughter happening to collect heads and one of the hobbits teamed up with the wizard to win the prize for most heads hunted. 

A man is creating a massive omega tree, and the ex-hobbit with the moustache has made his base sentient. 

There was a mayoral election going to see who would run the shopping district and claim the giant pile of diamonds. 

The two hobbits (who are not no longer hobbits) ran for mayor and so did many others, but the Wizard (who is no longer a wizard and has been building major machines and a mining empire complete with worker drones) ran against them with a few others. During campaigning the two ex-hobbits build an all knowing computer to tell them how to win. It was not a very good campaign but the robot became sentient and wanted to make his dads proud. One of the opposing running mates’ campaign managers infiltrated the robot and changed his programming to support them instead. This broke the robots brain and he was suffering and even though they fixed him they still lost. Unwilling to devastate their boy, they place the robot into a fake reality where he thinks they won.  The ex-wizard-now-mayor and his right hand man create a giant diamond throne and spend them on decorating the shopping district. He is using the diamonds very irresponsibly and refuses to let his right hand man have any promotion except in title. 

MEANWHILE through this whole thing a small cult has formed creating challenges that people cannot possibly get out of doing and must perform and are getting more and more complicated and strange (hence the door stealing).

The ex-hobbit with no moustache (and a red sweater) has been building a massive mansion but he invites people to live in the upside down in the nether to build bases there upside-down and pranks people like crazy. However the Mayor has gotten rid of all the mycelium on the shopping district as spores are bad for the lungs. Red sweater decides to create an underground resistance to keep the spores alive and begins to recruit people. 

The mayor is furious- he hires an enforcer to seek out the rebels. The enforcer has the mayor on his list- one of the rebels seems to be talking to someone on the Mayor’s side- perhaps a traitor?

So red sweater creates a challenge for the tree guy and moustache to steal the diamond throne and replace it with mycelium. They do so but tree guy is too busy to be part of the resistance and once the diamonds are stolen and locked away, the Mayor blames moustache as the leader of the resistance due to a strategically “abandoned” resistance hideaway and some totally not suspicious signs.

The mayor’s right hand man is a little suspicious- while he is building his monstrous castle, he would like more power but seems good at kissing ass. It is unclear if he wishes for a power grab.

The man who is rich who has a city was recruited to help the mayor find the rebels. (meanwhile the mayor has dug all the way to the Nether and has begun massive mining projects).

Also meanwhile a knight accidentally summoned  his evil self and fought him off with a rap battle so... that happened. 

Also also the man who has created an entire town of toons has created a massive dungeon beneath the shopping district that everyone is raving about. 

And that’s not even everyone who is on the server, that’s just the people I watch.

Don’t forget that the person who ran the head hunting contest is now haunted by Beetlguese, who built her half a rainbow with a cactus farm in it because she loves rainbows. Beetleguese owes her millions because of his actions. She commissioned him to build the other half of the rainbow, but because he is a cruel, cruel man, he built it two blocks higher than the other half. She threatens to break his legs again.

Also Minecraft Kakashi is building only interiors and is a master at the maze the other anime man has created. He is elusive. He is wild. He is Minecraft Kakshi.

Oh yes how could I forget about Minecraft Kakashi! Not to mention White Guy Who Built A Pyramid and the Mayor's sexone in command has huge Anime Eyes now.

Also the Living Zombie populating everything with people after collecting the heads from the head hunt and is she like cursed I feel like at this point she's cursed or something, I don't keep up with Cleo.

Improved cave generation

caves will esentially generate differently from now on. they will be adding biomes to caves, along with set water levels

improved terrain generation

mountains will generate more realistically, and have a tree line. It was not pictured but they are also adding the snowier snow, or powder snow. the block will look identical to normal snow but you will fall through the block.

lush caves

The lush caves are a cave biome featuring new plants and mobs:

glow berries- a light source and is also edible

spore blossom- a giant pink flower that sticks to the ceiling and emits particles

dripleaf plant- a large plant with leaves that you can walk on. if you stand on the leaves too long they start to bend, and you slide off.

azaleas- flower bushes, i am not sure which features they have as i dont remember them mentioning it

dripstone caves

this cave biome has giant stalagmites and stalactites. they fall when the block they are on is broken and entities die when they land on them.

amethyst geodes

amethyst geodes spawn in caves. they are very rare (?) and the purple block they grow on is un-obtainable in survival much like an animal spawner. the chrystals make a pretty chime like sound when you walk on them.
