Jack had no idea he would ACTUALLY go through with the self-indenturement, but when Alex asked him what he really wanted for his birthday, and Jack told him that, if he could have ANYTHING at all, it would be for Alex to be perfected, processed, converted, and upgraded, into the sexiest, fittest, most magnificently obedient drone that he could be.
And so, having been together for as long as they had been, Alex cleared out part of his retirement account, and submitted his request and letter of explanation and intent. And was promptly auto-approved for intake.
The processing had improved greatly over the years, to the point where it was now a same-day procedure. So, while Jack was off on one of his day trip bicycle rides, Alex was picked up, prepared, programmed, processed, and preferenced. And then returned to his and Jack's home to wait for his partner, master, controller, to return home.
Jack was blown away by the gift, and of course saddened that Alex wasn't there to share it with him. Alex meanwhile WAS there to share it with him, albeit, currently locked into observer status, listening, seeing, experiencing, but oh so tightly encased in a cage as restrictive to his mind as his rubber encasement was to his body.
And he did not mind that at all.
Jack read the accompanying note, and discovered that not only had Alex left everything to Jack to manage and enjoy, but he had additionally set aside a significant sum dedicated to Jack's upgrading and cyborgization, should he desire to remain fit and able to master and control Alex, for as long as Alex would be able to continue to operate and serve him, given that the processing had given him an approximate 175 year lifespan...
And the note mentioned that casually, that given Alex had upgraded himself for Jack's 70th birthday, it would only be thoughtful for Jack to upgrade himself to celebrate Alex's 60th...
And, very much unexpectedly, Jack found himself getting VERY hard at the prospect of doing exactly that.
