still love arcane even if s2 was contradictory in its messaging. too often big stories like these use colonialism/classism/systems of oppression as set dressing, refusing to fully engage with the weight of said system or imagining new futures/paths to breaking them. they kinda swapped the A and B story from s1 in s2, on top of evident time constraints, so the ending isn’t surprising. just narratively disappointing. the art- vis dev, boarding, animation, compositing tho? UNMATCHED. incredibly inspiring.
