Luigi went to the jungle kingdom to get a car, he ended up kidnapped by it's prince, who apparently is in love with him.

If Luigi had learned anything in this strange but fantastic world, it is that if you see someone or something big enough to wrap you in one of their fists and lift you up as if you weighed like a bunch of grapes, you turn around and run as far as possible.
"Um..." Luigi said as the larger head rubbed against his own, causing his hat to fall off his head to his lap "DK? Do you hear me? Could... could you please put me on the ground?"
The only response was a rumble, or perhaps a purr that vibrated against his back.
The truth is that the day began like all the others in his new routine, it had been just over 2 months since his residence here became permanent and Luigi was having the time of his life, now Mario and him had a house on their own, and after their deslpay on the battle against Bowser, people have been hiring them a lot. They had a couple of calls during the week, but their resurgent business was having a slow few days, which Mario took advantage of to familiarize Luigi with his new home, and that included showing him all the places he saw trough his adventures.
The mushroom kingdom was practically dominated, Luigi could walk around without getting lost or asking for directions, so they moved to the wild but euphoric jungle kingdom. Mario had an extra intention to visit it wanting to rebuild his vehicle lost in the chase against the koopas, considering even changing it to a motorcycle after seeing the versatility and speed that Princess Peach could have on one, Luigi was happy to accompany him even though the gorilla who took them to the palace almost knocked him over three times and needed about five minutes to avoid vomiting on the floor.
By the time they got to the kart shop Luigi's impression was... strange at best, and it would have remained that way if, while Mario was showing him how to assemble his own vehicle, a certain gorilla hadn't appeared.
"Oh my god, you're really back so soon?"
Mario's face changed from happy to one of extreme annoyance, an expression Luigi had rarely seen in him "Are you really that obsessed with me?" He said, without turning around "I haven't even been here for fifteen minutes"
The colored lights of the assemble machine were suddenly blocked by a large, strong, hairy body, with its arms crossed and a smug smile on his ape lips "I was having a nice day at the beach with my family when they told me there were rats in the workshop" he leaned down until he was eye level with his brother "And as a prince, my duty was to take care of this myself"
"Oh, you're a prince now? I thought your name explained everything you were" Mario smiled sarcastically at DK's offended expression "And just so you know, your daddy was the one who let us in here, genius. I guess some people know what it means to be grateful for, I don't know, saving their lives"
"Dad is already old, sometimes he lets annoying humans called Mario in" to drive the thorn even deeper, his brown eyes looked directly at him with a slightly cruel smile "And the green Mario too"
Luigi jumped as he suddenly became the topic of conversation, going from concerned observer to main trope. Mario immediately jumped, putting a protective arm in front of Luigi "Listen to me, big monkey, make fun of me whatever you want, but leave my little brother out of this"
But Luigi was used to bullies, he had been their favorite victim throughout his life, and he knew that if his twin got in the way it would only end things worse for him. Instead, he gently rested his hand on his brother's shoulder and stepped forward with a smile. "Hello Donkey Kong! I don't know if you remember me, but I'm Luigi! We met in Brooklyn."
The gorilla's look changed from confused to annoyed in less than a second, but to Luigi, who might have expected a hit, considered it a victory. If he and his twin could get out of here without a fight, it would be the best.
DK didn't seem impressed by his plan. The kong snort mockingly at him and by his face, he was preparing a scathing comment for him, but stopped when his nostrils suddenly flared and his body froze. He began to smell the air as if he had come across the most interesting flower in the world, until his face turned towards Luigi, walking slowly and getting closer and closer.
Luigi backed away and DK followed him, his eyes closing in pure concentration on his task. The proximity caused the stray hairs peeking out from under his hat to rise at the intensity of his sniffs, he looked to Mario for help, but he looked just as confused as him, looking at the gorilla as if he had grown a second head, the other kongs around him had also stopped and were observing the scene in silence and seriousness.
And suddenly, as if something had broken, DK straightened up, turning his face away from him, his black pupils were so expanded that the whites of his eyes could barely be seen, giving him a terrifying appearance. Luigi swallowed suddenly nervous about the whole situation "I-I c-c-could l-leave if you want...?"
DK didn't answer, remaining in that terrifying state for a couple more seconds before and without warning reaching out his hand and wrapped it around Luigi. The human let out a high-pitched and pathetic scream when the gorilla suddenly ran towards the exit of the workshop, runing at the deep jungle as if it were a generic action movie. Mario's panicked screams were lost as the Kong went deeper and deeper with Luigi on his hand to an unknown part of his kingdom.
And it had been that way ever since.
They arrived about half an hour ago to a secluded beach where a group of Kongs had been enjoying themselves, they glanced at him and DK for a couple of minutes before returning to their activities as if nothing were happening. Luigi didn't know if he was missing something or if simply kidnapping humans was a strange habit of this species, but he had lost his fear of the overly affectionate giant gorilla a while ago, and that led to other, less urgent predicaments.
"Phew, DK, you're going to roast me here" said the human, using his cap to fan himself, the nice soft fur wrapped around him like a fur coat wasn't exactly comfortable with the heat and humidity of the environment, and Luigi wasn't exactly dressed cool. He settled him more comfortably in his arms making him sigh "Do you think you can let me go for a second? It can't be very nice to hug my sweat, right?"
"Don't try, he's not listening to you"
Luigi was startled and looked forward to find himself face to face with another kong, similar in build to DK but with lighter fur. He was wearing sunglasses that made him look cool, a scarf on his head and a white tank top giving him an eighties style "Even if there was an explosion he wouldn't hear it, he's really lost in his head"
Luigi blinked in confusion "Lost?" He repeated "Uh, do you think you can help me let go? I'm really hot and I should come back before my brother has a heart attack"
"No dude, you're not going anywhere until Donkey comes to his senses," he said, handing him an open coconut with a straw. Luigi gratefully accepted it, drinking the cold liquid to calm his heat "It's the first time I've seen him so in love with someone, and we've known each other since we were children. You must have something special to put him like this"
The moment Luigi heard the word 'in love', he choked on his drink making him cough. DK made a few worried sounds checking him for any injuries before Luigi placed a hand on one of his arms to let him know he was okay "I-In love?!?" he repeated scandalized "No... t-this must be a mistake! He barely knows me, he can't be in love with me!"
"He can and he is, man. Maybe we kongs evolved into something more civilized, but we are still animals" the kong adjusted his glasses before keep going "If he chose you, he chose you. You have to hold on until he gets over it or you give in, whichever comes first"
Luigi's stomach fell silent, a feeling of fear began to rise up his spine "I... then he will keep me like this until I... accept?"
"Eh? No, of course not. Our mind when it sees a possible partner goes into 'Protective' mode, so to speak" he made exagerated quotes around the word protective, Luigi hoped that was the worst thing that happened in this state "Ussualy we can escape easly, but you're a little... small" the human felt his cheeks burn "Although it suits Donkey Dude, his way of showing love is very physical, only he would fall in love with small things"
"Oh," Luigi said, relaxing slightly. "So... he's not going to hurt me?"
"If you consider cuddles to be dangerous, then yes, a killer," the Kong laughed at the human's panicked expression. "You worry too much! Relax and have fun, he'll release you before sunset and we'll make fun of him, DK's first crush, what a touching moment!" He wiped a non-existent tear from under his sunglasses, placing a hand on his chest, his calm and easy going behavior towards the situation imminently spread to the human who finally relaxed in the arms of the Kong, who buried his face deeper in his hair.
This was without a doubt the wierdest experience he had in his time there, but if it was going to be over soon, then he would make his situation the best it could be. However, the kong was not finished "Let's just hope he doesn't get angry, when he feels threatened he tends to climb high things, you're not afraid of heights, are you?"
The color drained from Luigi's face again, causing the kong in front of him to burst into laughter. The others were suddenly too interested in him and leaned in, confirming to Luigi that this would be a very, very long afternoon.
