Hi um Magus question.... Did they ever show up on fionna and cake as a human??

I scoured EVERY SINGLE FRAME. EVERY SINGLE BACKGROUND SHOT. and nothing. not one single human magus!! they seem to go forgotten by the crew at large. which is okay! there are HUNDREDS of characters! but you'd think a character like magus, who showed up in seven whole episodes and has connections to a TON of the main cast, would show up at least once in F&C! that's okay though. I drew them anyway. fionna to scale

the ONLY time I'm fine with this is when the character is STILL unusual after whatever event changed them, just in a different way. bonus points if they're upset about the change. EVEN THEN YOU (pointing my fingers around at no one) ARE ON THHHIIINNNNN ICE

"but why do you hate this? isn't it a good end to a character's arc?" my actual physical neurological structure deviates from the norm in ways that CANNOT be "fixed" and I like it when characters are like me and can still have fulfilling story arcs and loving friends [:

this includes characters who say things that don't make sense, have memory issues, behave irrationally, and more. I'm talking about characters who represent a wide range of neurological differences. not just autism or adhd!

not enough people love astrid so I'm here to change that!!! she's an author! an adventurer! a mechanic! a pilot! she dabbles in magic!

here she is at age 20! in my ideal season 3, she ends up on an adventure with fionna and realises that fionna is very different to the fionna she dreamed up while reading the books. astrid still looks up to her, but she realises that she wants to form her own identity and become her own hero! I still wanted to keep that Fionna Inspiration while making her distinctly astridful.

this is also a little self indulgent- I like to think that simon ends up raising her alongside magus, so she takes after them both quite a bit! the weirdo next to her is little dude, her older brother and her companion on adventures. he's the voice of reason and a bit of a wet blanket but he's loyal to a fault and extremely dependable!

one of my friends described adult astrid as a "butch nerd" and that's spot on. she's a knowledgeable mechanic, very book smart yet agile, strong, and dexterous. she can be very stubborn and once she gets an idea in her head she WILL not let it go. I love her
